For our 5th Essentials, FunkyKid takes us on an energizing stroll.

 FunkyKid (Salma) is Tunisian Berlin-based DJ/Producer. She plays fast-paced Techno with tinges of Psytrance while driving great inspiration from 90s Hard Trance rave music. Salma started her DJing journey in 2022 with her involvement in La Fabrique Art Studio & FeMENA Network which is a community-driven arts inclusive platform that supports emerging artists and creatives in Tunisia, especially women and non-binary persons. In Berlin, she is part of the big network Female:Pressure and the Eclat Crew Collective. Playing with music that glides past 145 BPM, she tries to keep her sets well-fit for a dancefloor.

FunkyKid is Tunisian Berlin-based Producer/DJ. Her sound is an eclectic force of rapid kicks and hihats. Her music is inspired by her day-to-day migrant experience reflected in her hard dance and almost trancy rhythms.

Played by some of the biggest names on the current scene, his tracks progressively fit into a hybrid style between techno and trance, with a will to communicate strong emotions through dense melodies, metallic textures and a fast rhythm.
