HAPPY BIRTHDAY KALI :-D

For the 7th Sinchi & Friends mix, we have a special one from our buddy Kali who is celebrating his Birthday today.

1) Introduce yourself?
Hi There! I’m Luis from Gameboyz, although everybody knows me Kali. My main work is an audio engineer recording for Studios Promusica in Badajoz (Extremadura)and I'm a Computer Music Teacher. All this is coupled with Gameboyz, Melómana, Rotten City and Scalectric Music. Every day, I devote time with Melómana label and every hour of my life with the guys Xar lee and Da well – who are like my brothers… 
I also manage the Publishing Campaigns of the rest, Rotten City and Scalectric too.
I´m a dj for 15 years ago,  father, co-owner of www.comolasgrecas.com with German MT (my best teacher)  Above all, I am a Music lover or as we say in Spain “Melómano”

2) How would you describe your sound?
My sound? Is really hard to explain. I work in many projects at the same time and I think that I use different sounds, structures and styles depending on the product, I love to remix bands like Avon Guard, Foals and any band that wants to work with me, I accept suggestions. I think Electro is what prevails

3) What are your plans for 2016?
I´m working on my second album but I don’t know if I can finish this year, I hope so! My album will be more Techno and House as I want to get away from this slow style wave and show a new side, really personal. 
I will also work on a second remix for Avon Guard for “Parasite” . I´ve also finished my remix for the “Foals” track “Lonely Hunters” too, Night Noise will be releasing the remix really soon, stay tuned.

Finally, I entered the Night Noise Agency Based Amsterdam on 2016 and they have my best wishes for the team with Mark Cooper, FLVN, Sinchi and many others.

The 21st release of @PlaygroundRecords comes from Tel Aviv from a young musical talent known as Coobe (@cuba-596964817)

His 'Kadum' Ep features 3 originals complimented with remixes from Thomass Jackson, Roe Deers and @RichardRossa.

The original of Moog Levv has a bass-line full of funk, which turns acid and takes on a frenetic rhythm. Chords pitched up and down make it fly with disco spirit. Whilst a constant percussive string sound keeps it tribal, hi hats and snares of analog rhythm-box give it an old school and dirty touch.

Richard Rossa takes on the remix of this track and mutates it with risky cuts, extreme but well-calibrated modulations which are supported by pads which are dispersed to great effect between delays and reverbs.

Selwa Abd, originally from Morocco, is a NewYork based artist and musician. She holds a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons The New School for Design and is founder of the music platform: Bizaarbazaar. Under the guise Bergsonist (derived from Deleuze' s Bergsonism), she uses multiple mediums to investigate social resonance through divergent conceptual aesthetics (minimalism, techno, music concrete to name a few). Her practice utilizes her trained design sensibility to filter the objects of intuitive exploration, guided by an impulse to detach subjective meaning from found sonic fragments. Notions of identity, memory, social politics and the ambiguous long-term reliability/stability of our digital networks drive this process. She has released several eps on labels such as Borft, Styles Upon Styles,  Always Human and Where To Now as. As well as self released Eps on her bandcamp. “Heat” is her debut release for Optimo Music and is a stunningly original EP, the lead track being a slo-mo low slung techno treat featuring Bergsonist’s vocals. It will be followed up with a full album release in the first half of 2019.

Harold's Boué aka Abstraxion aka Lion's Drums from Marseille new goodie!  Hot day in this cozy town of France with not enough sleep. It inspired Harold to work on new tracks around the idea of creating music to reflect his city: a bit rough, but luminous and influenced by elements of Mediterranean, African and Northern European cultures. This has translated into a heavily percussive sound, in which tribal disco grooves invoke the spirits of voodoo-techno. The project's name is a tribute to the astrological sign of Harold’s son, who was born at the same time as the music on the EP.

When someone wakes up in this condition, they can never tell how long they have been going for; the night? the weekend? the whole week? is this just a perpetual state? It's hard to even know whether to talk in the first, second, or even third person, such as the depth of blankness in the soul... Such as the Depth of Haze. 
Optimo affiliate and Night of the Jaguar honcho Mr TC makes a splash on Hard Fist for their first release of 2019 and Khidja has managed to get his hands on the stems starting the year with a bang!
Gay Haze boasts heady live bass and flute are the elements which Khidja have brought out of the awesome original which punctuate the eastern vibe which slowly builds as the faint hiss of vocal haunts the back channels. As the track builds so does the hiss and the echo and the menace and the sense of dread and urgency. 
Andrei Rusu and Florentin Tudor have had an exceptional 2018 as has Thomas Lea Clarke, and this is the dream start to the next year... no time to reflect, no time to make resolutions. Here we go again!
