Welcome to our spontaneous curation, a  back to back vinyl mix session. This is the result of years immersed in each other's sound. 
Twas an evening of showing off our fresh finds to one another....some time ago.. but timeless music...
Now we have our music label Motion:Theory:Music, putting local artists like Jules David on the international stage, with remixes by Vincent Casanova.  After years of residencies and passionate mix curation, now we can support our artist friends through our label too!  Known for our podcasts in many countries: 'This is How We Do It' the original name for this mix, has a couple of thousand plays and much love.

Katharine is co-owner of modern electronic music label Motion:Theory:Music with Ben Abrahams & Jules David in Melbourne.

Sublime sounds and hypnotic funk stimulate her being, compelling her to source and mix, creating euphoric journeys of micro, deep tech & soul-stirring modern house. Those who crave a nourishing sonic experience have followed Katharine’s journey along the Australian East Coast with her musical partner Ben Abrahams for over two decades, as they’ve influenced the scene with their exciting taste & consistent delivery of stimulating underground music.  

After djing for 8 years at the infamous Elsewhere Bar, this last decade she has made mixes for Art-E Romania, Feeder Sound and the Microtechno Podcast series, having long been recognised internationally for her way with intricate sounds, particularly with lovers of micro-house and the Romanian influenced minimal:  *Feeder Sound said “her recordings are intense and with a sophisticated perspective on sounds and rhythms."  She just  keeps on lovingly creating fresh soundtracks for her friends’ lives, and this year alone has made 16 mixes for renowned collectives around the world with more coming. Minimal lovers will find hours of incredible pieces of music showcased on these sessions, and each is an experience.  She befriends the equally passionate producers & label owners she meets as she’s driven to discuss the irresistible elements of minimal sound.

Katharine’s unique way is euphoric and deeply satisfies.  You can find her djing at Killing Time Bar & for local crews, but enjoy her anytime through her own Motion:Theory mix series & through the podcasts she makes for collectives who appreciate her taste and storytelling ability as she delivers irresistible bass lines with psychedelic depths. It’s lush minimal for the dancefloor.
