I started with a 10-second sample of some Frogs in my yard from last winter, then put it into the slicer in Egoist and began building up rhythms, added a drumbeat, some bass synth, and effects.

The song begins with the raw frog sample, then steps through various parts of the build up, and cuts loose in the middle with a nice, funky groove. Then it starts to drop away the parts on the lead-out, and ends with just the frogs again...

I built this one from scratch, even down to recording the original sample. I'm quite pleased with the result. :-)
