מילים מקבלות חיים" הוא פרויקט מתמשך של הלחנת שירה, שנולד מתוך אהבה למילה הכתובה ולמפגש המיוחד שבין טקסט למוזיקה.
במהלך השנים הלחנתי עשרות שירים שכתבו משוררות ומשוררים, כשכל טקסט פתח בפניי עולם – רגשי, אישי, חברתי או פוליטי – והפך לשיר.

חלק מהשירים בפרויקט יצאו כסינגלים עם עטיפה הפקתית מלאה.
האוסף הזה מציג גרסאות מוקלטות באולפן הביתי שלי – שירה, גיטרה, ולעיתים גם כלים נוספים – בגישה אינטימית, ישירה וחופשית.

אני גאה לשתף את השירים בדיוק כמו שהם – פשוטים, כנים, נוגעים.
זוהי תחנה אחת במסע מתמשך, שממשיך להתרחב בכל מפגש עם מילה חדשה שמבקשת לחיות דרך הלחן.

Salt House have been a mainstay on the folk scene for over a decade. Salt House's sound is influenced by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, the respective homes of band members Ewan MacPherson (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), Anna Hughes (vocals, fiddle, viola, tenor guitar) and Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, keys, guitar). They incorporate their natural surroundings into the fabric of the music that speaks of a shared love of place, people, and evolving tradition.
