The thoughts floated in and out, images danced atop an empty screen as the voices echoed and cried with great whimsy and wonder. These were the moments of wild dreams, a place in which the most careless and most reckless fantasies roamed as the limits and shackles of society were removed.

Anything might exist up here for anything could.

Wandering from room to room of the empty house, there were strange visions and moments to be found within each. Some were haunting whilst others were wildly euphoric like the stuff of a delicate fantasy.

Who knew which door might lead where and what lay behind each?

La Serpiente remixed by Elena Colombi. Now this is a combination we can get behind, this one sounds like something out of a sophisticated art noire film, a horror of sorts with wandering melodies and echoes atop a stomping repetitive kick.

These visions were hinting at some far off time and place in which everything was perfect and free. Yet how could that be when the world spun with such malice and mischief.

Perhaps they were just dreams after all.

Michal Turtle is one of a handful of artists having been invited to reimagine the music of nICo on Estuary Tapes. A kraut track with rugged soul.

Milan-based electronic music producer nICo unveiled his debut solo EP, "Unexplored Earths" on label Estuary Tapes in May 2024. After several weeks of work, the label is proud to unveil the remixed edition, featuring contributions from several prominent names in the electronic scene : MR TC, Michal Turtle, Steve Pepe, A-Tweed and Oltrefuturo.
These new versions of nICo's tracks bring another dimension to the EP with a much more dub-oriented approach. MR TC and Michal Turtle's remixes sound like an ode to introspection, while A-Tweed, Oltrefuturo, and Steve Pepe deliver two gems crafted for the dancefloor.

“It’s with great pride that I present to you the first mix in a two-part mix series to celebrate the release of the new ‘Electric Eclectics’ box set from Fundamental Records. The first mix is comprised of my favorite tracks from each full-length records in the set. The foundations and the aim of this project are exactly the same of the 808 Box, but this time Alek Stark wanted to focus the attention on some of the artists who helped to build and develop the sound of modern Electro music. Consideration was also given the artists of present and the future of our beloved genre, Underground Electro Music.

Electric Eclectics includes 21 high-quality vinyl records, mastered and cut at 45 rpm for the best sound and dynamics. Each of the first 18 records is dedicated to one artist, the other 2 are in advance of the second part of this project next year. This is more than 3 hours. The total length of the 20 records is almost 9 hours of pure Electro music. Alek also always includes an extra record, this time Electro music master Arpanet, who will have a 7" vinyl record within the box set.

This mix is about 80 minutes but the total length of the 20 records is almost 9 hours of pure Electro music. You do not want to miss this extremely limited release.

A single rocky path was the only route up the dusty hill to the ancient gardens. Not many ventured up there, it rarely welcomed visitors anymore. Most of it had been left untouched since it had been a landmark decades ago; dead trees bordered the crumbling walls and the marble fountains were dry from years spent without water. But the place still had a sense of magic about it, even in its decaying state. From the top you could see the whole of Istanbul and from here the city never looked so beautiful… 

Lyon's Hard Fist are a label influenced by global and ancestral sounds, their mission to twist these into dance floor focused cuts. Having previously charted releases from Pletnev, Timothy Clerkin, Bawrut and label heads Cornelius Doctor and Tushen Raï, the next comes in the form of volume no 2 of their Princes Of Abzu VA series. The release involves contributions from Mekine U Teksi, Que Sakamoto, Feller, Ayma with Kaan Duuzarat on remix duties, and our pick from LINJA, all of which explore influences ranging from EBM and acid to tribal and darkwave.
