How would you describe your sound?

In a few words: hypnotic house. In not so few words: Myelin is a predominantly vinyl DJ focusing on hypnotic grooves stemming from a wide domain of house music including, minimal, deep, acid, progressive and dub. He builds a floor from the ground up, firstly with soothing, spiritual melodies, progressing into driving tunes that’ll keep you up past 2am.

Who inspires you musically?

My background is in punk and psychedelic rock music, the most translatable artists from this domain are the masters of the motoric beat, Neu!, provides a solid foundation for the hypnotic elements I look for with music I perform. Nowadays I’m getting inspiration from the eastern European minimal scene from producers like  Marcu Rares, Cap and Floog.

What’s your favourite club?

You’ll catch me down at revs on Thursdays and killing time of a Friday. 

Who’s your favourite local and international DJ?

International DJ: Johnny D has been inspiring a minimal disco twirl sound that’s coming out in my sets currently. Otherwise the all time greats of norm tulley and delano smith are favs too.

Local dj: I’ve been lucky enough to play with Pana a few times at rumbler and really enjoy the way he puts together a set. He has such a breadth that you never know what is coming next!

machsos blends the lines between techno, trance and riddim.

Who inspires you musically?
ISOKNOCK, Filly and the legend SOPHIE.

What’s your favourite club?
Depends on my mood. New Guernica or Sircuit if I need a pop hit.

Who’s your favourite local and international DJ?
My favourite local DJ is Ninajirachi. International is ISOXo.
