"The reason I selected this for the series was, for myself, it being personal time piece, the quality of the tracks and the mix being consistently good. Building through some great soulful house vocals and dubs into some deep cuts that haven't dated since it's release in 2002. Having quite a few of these on vinyl picked up around the time, including Mindflight's "Release", Derrick White's "Soul 2 Let Go" and Kerri Chandler's "Atmospheric Beats" the mix by silky deep house man Miguel Migs was never far from the earlobes at the time. And being released on the ever consistently good Naked Music label, its great from start to finish. A true reflection of the kinds of tracks I played out in sets when I started out DJing. Enjoy!!" What a night - good times, good vibes and great crowd! This intimate Salted event took place at Monarch in San Francisco and it did not disappoint...
The revelers came out early and were groovin'  all night...I shared the decks with Migs and Harness downstairs while Kirk worked the crowd upstairs...This is my opening set and as usual, I was eclectic with my selections so expect to hear Nu-Disco, House, Afro-House and Classics...enjoy the ride!

I first heard of Miguel Migs music through Naked Music back in my vinyl days and was pretty much hooked. I started collecting many of his singles and remixes from my local record shop (at the time) via labels like NRK, OM & Transport Records.

To me, Miguel Migs has mastered the art of "balance" with his unique lush warm soundscapes, deep & soulful rhythms, live instrumentation, electronic sounds & reggae sound system influences. His music perfectly translates into lounge bars, smokey underground clubs right through to main stage festivals. 

I hope you enjoy the journey through his music. I certainly enjoyed mixing this lengthy set on the 1s & 2s.
