An experimentation on recreating the natural groove that characterizes "Samba", a well known Brazilian rhythm, acting over synthetic entities that resembles classic Samba's percussion instruments like "Zurdo", "Snare", "Repique", and "Agogo" among others. What really was a nice challenge besides to achieve a characteristic groove and alternative analogue sounds, was to construct by pure synthesis a series of instruments capable to produce rich articulations, something so natural (continue...)

Ben Shaw is no stranger to dance music than a bear is to the woods. 
Since the 90's he has released and appearanced on some of the most respected labels in club culture including the late Fluid and Fire, Yoshitoshi, Renaissance, Ministry of Sound, System Recordings and so on. His biggest hit as an artist came in 2001 when So Strong, a track featuring Adele Holness on vocals, topped the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. As a result, has been featured on mix compilations by Dave Seaman, Pete Tong and Deep Dish. 

Needless to say, our man Ben has been around the block a few times.And so, Ben brings his next gem to Omnis: Tempest. It's a deep moody, techy twister of a track with remixes courtesy of our very own Boshell & Cody and Jamez & Soulboy.  

The Boshell & Cody mix is by far a classic in the making as it breathes the impeccable production and arrangement you'd expect from a heavy hitter.  Sitting somewhere between progressive and house, it's something you'll want to wrap your head around. And rounding out the package are Jamez & Soulboy churning out a progressive chugger that's ripe for the darker rooms...
