PREMIERE: Fütwerk. - Bliss In The Abyss [Aythekos]

Van Bellen & Christian Linder "Electric Nite"

Old classics from Metroplex and Tresor by minimal-techno master Terrence Dixon have a reissue on Shanti's 8th 12". Remixed by Kausto aka Audiocad, who's already done an EP for us in 2008.

Terrence Dixon - Return Of The Speaker People (Kausto's Sudden Aphasia Mix)

MOODLER - COLD CHAMBER (SNIPPETS)

15th September sees Amsterdam-based artist Edanticonf release his debut EP for esteemed underground imprint, Curle Recordings, entitled 'The Mind Power'.
Edanticonf's music feels perfectly crafted for the brooding atmospheric venues he so often performs in (always as a live artist too). Both the aforementioned adjectives can be attributed to his style of techno too, one that places the focus less on the technical side and more on the human one, aiming to reflect his emotions and state of being through the hazy soundscapes that draw influence from the natural scenery around him.
His concise back-catalogue features releases on revered labels such as M¦REC LTD, Trolldans, Phorma and Silent Season – the imprint which released his debut LP, 'Forest Echo', in 2012. On each release, Edanticonf's work sonically varies, from the more ambient compositions present on his 'Planet' EP for Silent Season to his dub-infused techno release on Italy's M¦REC LTD, but each offering never compromises on its quality, something which sits at the core of this project.
Kicking off the EP is the title-named track, 'The Mind Power', a hypnotic techno number that blends atmospheric textures and arpeggiated synth patterns with industrial-inducing pad tones, gradually introducing further elements throughout its eight minute duration.
'Interlude' follows, a song that much like the rest of the EP focuses its attention on the refined nuances of the analogue synthesiser, blending this with more delicate synth passages and other shadowy digital effects.
Closing this excellent three-track EP is 'We Dance Together', a dazzling, almost trance-like closer that fuses these soaring atmospheric elements and delicate synths with gritty, lo-fi drums to great effect.

Derek Carr has flown back onto the radar after reissues on Ben Boe s For Those That Knoe imprint and a string of newly released music through 2017 and early 2018. In true Craigie Knowes spirit, Derek has been drawn off of the beaten path to supply a wider variety of sounds than you would usually expect to hear from the Irish producer. Acid, Techno and Detroit Electro tinged sounds throughout.

“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." The steadily brilliant French producer Nathan Melja - who's made the rounds between choice outlets over the past half decade, from Mister Saturday Nights to Antinote, via Ninja Tune offshoot Technicolour and Opal Tapes, seems to have learnt Bruce Lee's lesson by heart, and his seamlessly fluid, no-nonsense debut foray on KOC is here to potently cement his status as one of Europe's number one club trailblazers, and one that knows all too well how to turn any dancefloor into an infinity pool of pure liquid euphoria.

Drawing its name from the physiological and psychological process that results in a confusion of one's sensory perceptions, 'Synesthesia' is indeed the kind of club single that shall trigger off massive reaction amongst right-minded bipeds and chromakey house suckers. Straightforward club business done right, Melja's original is a vivid kaleidoscope of skittish drums, swampy bass stabs and a well-rounded, supremely curvy synthwork, tailored to take ravers on a flash journey through space and time without the help of Richard Branson or Elon Tusk (pun intended).

Called in on remix duty, TTT affiliate and Incienso co-founder Anthony Naples delivers a more fragmented and ambientish variation, though functional and club-ready in its own right. Brushing even wider verbed-out pad tapestries for your brain to wander in, the track expands to deeper organic horizons with a field-depth that can not but recall that of the KLF and Bochum Welt's emotional soundscaping. Meanwhile, Karenn half Pariah takes care of whelming us deep into more techno-friendly terrains, true to his ever masterly touch for epic buildups and multi-level textural innovation, bringing up the acidic phlegm of Melja's original as he treats us to a carefully orchestrated ballet of synthetic whorls, contemplative chords and propulsive drum programming.
