I wrote this in spite of my knack to writing love songs. "There's other things going on in the world" my mind would often scream at me. "Do something else". So I wrote this song about how I'm growing up, or wanting to grow up, how there's all these fires right outside our window that we contend with as a culture and how writing a petty love song to stroke my ego is sometimes just a waste. I also wanted to scream on this track so I did.
