"During the past year or so (2018 – 2019), the subject of loss, or, losing something you once held dear to you, has entered and left my life, and the lives of my loved ones like an ever-fleeting shadow. Each time it visits, it inflicts a differing variation of wound; but these wounds aren’t as often fleeting as the initial loss that inflicted them.
Now, before you read any further, I would like to make myself clear: I do not want this project album to be seen as a ‘woe, is me’ or a ‘false emotion’ album. To me, this project album feels like so much more than that. This album is not only a listening experience, but also a journey. It is a journey through what loss itself actually is and how it has impacted each and every one of us.
 
I first devised the plan for this album while I was sitting at my desk at home. I was lost, deep in thought about how I felt at the time; and about how other people, who may have been in similar situations, may have felt over time. With this in mind, I began to write stories and scenes that dealt with loss. These scenes and stories slowly began to transverse themselves into pieces of music and audio inside my mind.
I am also an avid fan of history and historical settings; so to mix my own feelings with history and to have characters and stories to latch my own feelings and thoughts onto was not only refreshing, but also exhilaratingly enjoyable. In a way, it feels like sharing the load and lessening the weight of my own life through music and storytelling.

These musical scores will take you, the listener, through different variations and experiences with loss. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the loss of a friend, the loss of nature or the loss of tomorrow’s certainty. This album is about loss, and about how briefly it visits, yet never seems to leave."
