‘WANNA GO BANG’ is my take on Chicago Ghettohouse legend DJ Deeon’s classic vocoder vocal sample (from his 1992 song “2 B Free”, but it’s pitched down 5 semitones now which gives it such a dark vibe). I’ve always wanted to make my own DJ weapon version of it since I heard Bjarki’s trippy version in 2015, and I’m really happy with how it turned out, it’s such a monster! 😎🔥

“LOKOMOTIF” is a high-energy groover, driven by 90s House synth stabs, funky percussion and banging drums, and it sits very nicely in between Techno and House.

Both tracks on my "WANNA GO BANG" EP are really ‘dance floor’ focused, so I’m very pleased that many noteworthy DJs have been banging out these tracks in their sets already pre-release. And I couldn’t be happier than to see them released on one of my all-time favorite labels, Drumcode! :) 🖤🙌

The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. Influential DJ, producer and label owner Adam Beyer takes to his own Drumcode imprint to deliver his latest peak-time floor-filler in the collaboration with Bart Skils titled 'Your Mind'.

If you’ve caught a set from Adam Beyer recently, chances are you remember this track causing mayhem. ‘Your Mind’ is a banging new collaboration with Dutch talent Bart Skils, and it absolutely caught the attention of his Timewarp, Awakenings and Ultra set audiences with its haunting chorus chant. 

'Your Mind' is released via Drumcode on June 18.

Two contrasting remixes of ‘Space Date’ come courtesy of Pleasurekraft and John Monkman, as the three-way collaboration between Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet continues to thrill. Joining the strong reworks is an unexpected treat for fans; a last-minute inclusion of a fresh new original track from the trio.

Drumcode got its first taste of Pleasurekraft’s unique production touch in 2016 when ‘Dopefield’ dropped on ‘A-Sides Vol.5’. The Swedish/American duo’s exploration of cosmic techno realms made them the ideal candidates to re-work ‘Space Date’. Their contribution is as visceral as they come; defined by a hypnotic vocal arrangement, a stirring call and response melody and propulsive galloping beats fashioned for peak-time moments. No surprise it was a highlight of Adam Beyer’s Ultra Resistance sets and gobsmacked Maceo Plex who requested a promo to play at Time Warp a week later.

Meanwhile Drumcode debutant John Monkman steps up with a very different, but not less deadly reinterpretation of ‘Space Date’. The Brit has impressed in recent times with strong releases on Ellum, Kompakt and his own Beesemyer imprint, and takes this form into DC207. His is a twisted intergalactic re-rub drenched in warped electro, blistering modular sounds and touches of IDM that manages the difficult task of taking the original to darker, more leftfield realms without ever losing its powerful dancefloor pulse.

Pleasurekraft return to Drumcode on remix duties after a 2 year hiatus with all engines on the Cosmic Techno ship firing.  Big-room atmospheric drums and an infectious call and response hook intertwine with Green Velvet's otherworldly vocals to produce a new highly visceral and steroid injected version of the original.  The "Space Date" remix marks the sixth collaboration between the seminal purveyors of the Cosmic Techno sub-genre, Pleasurekraft, and Chicago's iconic dance music pioneer Green Velvet. 

The remix initially came about after Drumcode head Adam Beyer heard Pleasurekraft's "Welcome to the Universe" EP [Kraftek] at the end of 2018.  A huge supporter of the Swedish/American production duo, Adam felt so inspired by the whole EP, especially "Main Sequence" that the opportunity for Pleasurekraft to take their love of all things space related lent itself naturally to the thematic elements in Green Velvet's vocals. 

The track's spine is built around a hypnotic groove that is anchored to a single word from the original's vocals : "ecstasy" and slowly builds to the first climax of the record where the listener finally hears Green Velvet's vocals in full for the first time.  However it isn't until the second break of the track that the power of the remix is finally unsheathed, resetting the groove and building up to a second swell featuring a duo of call and response melodies between the lead hook and a lower end bass that takes the intensity of the track up another notch - ultimately culminating in complete silence that gives way to the remix's original heartbeat and repeating mantra: "ecstasy". 

Taking over a month of studio time to complete, it was road tested for the first time at Pleasurekraft's Fabric London gig, where there was no shortage of inquiries as to the ID of the record.  This soon became a repeating theme after Adam Beyer first included it on DCR446 and played it during both of his Ultra Miami (Resistance) sets, including his closing b2b set with Maceo Plex who loved the track so much he proceeded to get his own copy and play it during his own solo set one week later at Time Warp in Germany.  

Multiple clips of the remix have already gone viral on various social media and blog outlets, with no shortage of fans waiting anxiously for the June 24 release date on Adam Beyer's own Drumcode Records. In Adam Beyer's own words, Pleasurekraft are "setting new standards" with their continued foray into the Cosmic Techno sub-genre they continue to define.
