Since 1996, Drumcode has grown to become an institution in the global techno scene, encompassing a radio program, an event series, and a home for the musical vision of its artists and founder, Adam Beyer. “15 Years of Drumcode” celebrates this landmark by focusing on the present.

There are no throwbacks, rehashings, or remixes of the label‘s back catalogue. Instead, the 28-track compilation showcases the newest work of Drumcode‘s current roster alongside fresh material from some well known names from the labels history and special contributions from some of techno's undisputed heavyweights.

Opening with the Vangelis inspired Present Voyage then weaving a path through gritty throbbing bass, exemplified by Arrival and on to minimized funk of Disco Diva and Need House, Sonic Intervention progresses naturally on through the swirling tension of Get Up and crescendos with the combination of floor-burner NZT and the old-school Electro stomping Electric Pandemic; featuring the vocals of Detroit Grand Pubas Paris Du Black Fu. When quizzed on his motivations behind his latest studio album, The Advent stated I wanted to do something quite personal for this first album and delve a little bit into the past to get inspiration from my influences to make an album that reflected all the musical genres I have been inspired by over the years electro, electronica, tech house - not just the techno tracks. Beside his studio work and production time, Sam’s DJ appearances are among the most requested by promoters worldwide: his sets are characterized by powerful grooves and have been described as “Sexy Groovy Dark Techno”, which speaks volumes, literally, on what to expect from his performances.
He has taken the stage at legendary clubs such as Berghain (Berlin), Output and Cielo (New York), Rex (Paris), Fabric (London), Crobar (Buenos Aires), Exchange (Los Angeles), Fuse (Bruxelles), Stereo (Montreal), Pacha (Barcelona), Fabrik (Madrid), Amnesia (Ibiza), Privilege (Ibiza) and Cocoricò (Riccione) just to name a few, and at Festivals like Awakenings (Netherlands), Nature One (Germany), Mayday (Germany), Tomorrowland (Belgium), Sziget (Hungary), Sonus (Pag Island), Time Warp (Germany), Ultra (USA).
