The latest release on Madlochs' 3rd Avenue imprint finds the label showcasing the 36th edition of their popular Three Of A Kind series. These VA EP releases feature three artists, each contributing two original tracks, resulting in a unique blend of sounds that has become a hallmark of the Sound Avenue family. For the 36th edition, the label invites two great producers from Argentina: Lucho Bragagnolo & Barklas, while RossAlto, hailing from Greece.

Dez Williams, Umwelt, Fleck E.S.C, Dmitry Distant and Igors Vorobjovs line up for MTRON002 with a set of diverse electro sounds.

Umwelt and Dez Williams, following recent releases on Boidae and Vanta Series, make up the A side with two booming productions; Only Way I Know, an ever-intensifying 100 BPM eyes-down roller and Mankind Origin, a heavy, melodic trip in signature Umwelt form.

On the flip, Dmitry Distant and Igors Vorobjovs team up on the stinging, rapid electro cut Cold Scape, and Fleck E.S.C rounds off MTRON002 with Dimmer Set Up, another bubbly electro track from the Tokyo-based producer’s vault of dramatic, buzzed-out alien sounds.

MTRON002: Umwelt - Mankind Origin

We welcome the new year with this week's new mix from Eindkrak, a multi talented Dutch artist living in Amsterdam.
 He studies mathematics and physics, sings in a choir and plays classical guitar, but at the same time he is really into experimental electronics that is based on improvisation. Most people might have not heard of him yet but now it's time to pay attention.
As Eindkrak, he has released on Unknown Precept​, and he is preparing a second release for this label as well. He also plays in a duo with Toni Quiroga​ as Raum Zeit, they have a tape on AMOK Tapes​, releasing on Veleno Viola and Sign Bit Zero​.
In this mix there are also two tracks of a collaboration with Maoupa Mazzocchetti​. Most of the tracks in this mix are made by friends with a similar music taste and lots of Eindkrak and Raum Zeit material. Some tracks you will hear on releases at some point and some maybe never.

Am morgigen Freitag, den 14. Juli 2017, kommt sie raus: die Zusammenstellung „@bedrock_rec Frequencies“. Kuratiert wurde die dreifache CD und Vinylplatte von @ john-digweed. Der Brite suchte sich 31 Tracks raus, die von Bedrocks Lieblingsproduzenten, Labeldebütanten, Klassikern, die neu interpretiert wurden, und aus spannende Kollaborationen stammen. Die drei markanten Kollektionen – „Low“, „Mid“ und „High“ – sind gemacht worden, um „eine perfekte Bedrock-Party“ musikalisch darzustellen, erklärt das Label. Einer der Tracks kommt von Saints & Sinners: „Pushin Too Hard“ – ein legendäres Release von Bedrock, das der israelische Musiker @guy-mantzur neu interpretiert hat. Die Version ist ein Karriere-High-Point-Remix geworden, den der höchst talentierte Musiker aus Tel Aviv kreierte. (...)

For our third offering we’ve chosen four Tigerskin classics for you plus one unreleased tune from Alex Krüger’s Archives. 

‘Bordeaux’, from 2008, is a dark and lush space hymn that set the tone for many of Tigerskin’s productions in the years to come. It features acoustic kicks and percussion, sequenced synth toms, subtle pitch changes and has lots of atmosphere which, back then, you‘d rather expected in Drum & Bass. 

‘Silver Sun’, unreleased til today, was taken from the same 2005 recordings session as ‚Neontrance‘. A minimal groove and a ton of bass marry a big room full of breathing acid synths and reverbs while little artefacts fly around like mosquitos.  

‘Neontrance’ is one of Alex‘s widely known ‚acid techno‘ pieces. Rhythmically changing synth-patterns are built around a proper booming Tr-808 until that hi pitched synth line comes in... Simple. Effective. This one’s still killing dance floors all over the world since it‘s 2006 release on Dirt Crew Recordings.

The last two, ‘Suzuki Rider’ and ‘Wanted’ have been originally recorded and released in 2008, also with Dirt Crew, as part of th ‘Peter’s Secret Weapon Ep’ and since we and many others out there always loved both for their beauty and elegance we won‘t want to keep the fresh versions from you any longer.

All five tunes have been beautifully restored again from their original parts by Stefan Janson.
