*** RECORDED LIVE AT THE CAUSE FOR LABYRINTH, SAT 19TH JULY  **

Here it is folks and it’s another really special one for me. I have been a huge fan of what Mikey & Nick (Founders of Labyrinth) have brought to the scene in their mission to champion electronic music in unique and iconic venues, so to go from years of being in front of the decks as a punter to behind them as a DJ, was a real dream come true.

Even more so, it was at Enoo & Caiiro’s B2B Labyrinth night back in February 2024 that I took my last dance before receiving my Stage 4 cancer diagnosis so it felt somewhat serendipitous, 16 months on with 28 rounds of chemo down and surgery a few weeks back to be on the same bill as these afrohouse legends.  

Recorded in The Brut Room, this mix brings together some of my recent afro faves, some housier sounds as well as a few classics. And as a live recording, expect some of the transitions to be a little “raw” but at least you know it wasn’t a pre-record in Ableton!

The dream continues…last Friday, I returned to those iconic decks in Ministry Of Sound to open up the club for the second chapter of Future x Citizens in both 103 & this time also in the Box (the main room). Being in control of that ENORMOUS Martin Audio sound system with my name in neon letters behind me was as surreal and incredible as you might expect. Thanks to Phil Harris for that opportunity and of course my 10 year old daughter Cora who designed the graphics from the video screen! 

This is a live recording from the set in 103 - 45 minutes of back to back weapons, kicking off with some recent house heavyweights then going all out anthemic with new takes on some all-time classics.

Once again it was a night of pure joy - loads of new talent being supported and a great crew of ravers giving it some from the off so thanks as always to those who kept that dance floor in front of me heaving from the off.
