Noosphere proudly presents Shantam's second release with us; 'bleep'

bleep is a 5 track EP, where inspirations from IDM, Drum n Bass, and Breaks are nurtured to create a fuzzy, delightfully weird and energetic creature of questionable origin.

Manic audio chopping and caffeinated drum work are serenaded by musical motifs that play off each other. Melodic phrases and simple bass-lines are contrasted by the angular and frenetic energy of the drums that are the main attraction.

Breaks and 808s Tribute

Podcats Ep.41 is here and we got a hidden gem by the name Talitha D’Amore with us to bless the series. Originally hailing from Brazil, she set the course for Rotterdam, Netherlands since two years back where she is currently based. The creative side of Talitha began when she studied biochemical engineering as she began to create her own abstract molecular drawings in class. Besides the interest for art, her interest for sounds has always been present, showing appreciation to all types of genres of music over the years. This eventually led to a special love for electronic music and techno in particular as she felt that it resonated with the intensely abstract and liberating universe of the genre. For the past 5 years she has been continuing exploring, collecting tracks and enjoying all the good things that the techno-scene has to offer. 

For this selection, we get a taste of what’s been in Talitha’s rotation lately, with both newly found tracks aswell as favorites from the vault in a spaced out, hard-hitting and driven set.

Welcome to Volume 2 of the occasional compilation series from Edinburgh clubnight and venue Samedia Shebeen. This set of songs reflect a slice of life on the Samedia dancefloor: tropical club music from around the world.

All proceeds from this album go to RE-ACT REFUGEE ACTION SCOTLAND - an Edinburgh based charity who work tirelessly to support immigrants in the Scottish capital and also those in refugee camps throughout Europe & the Middle East.

Through playgroups, mental wellbeing groups & language classes, Re-Act has been helping the integration of new arrivals of all ages to the capital since 2015.

They've also dispatched over 1,500 tonnes of emergency aid gathered in Scotland to Calais, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq in that time.
