Afro-Latina Artist ( Salvadoreña, Nicaraguense, Mexicana) LA native, dancer, dj and a true heart of the underground House music and dance culture.⁣
Juliet’s love for the music takes us back to the mid 90’s, house scene where she became a regular in LA house clubs, such as the Arena and Carnival. By her early 20’s she became a well-known House Dancer and event promoter for LA’s largest house music festivals
Juliet has a true deeply rooted connection to LA house music culture. She is the Founder and resident DJ of Jill’s House aka Jackin Jills (@jillshouse_la ), has shared decks with Doc Martin, Marques Wyatt, Riva Starr, Colette, Dj Heather, Peggy Gou (to name a few).

Juliet Mendoza, an Afro-Latina artist from Los Angeles, has been immersed in music her entire life, drawing early inspiration from her mother’s love for disco. Starting dance classes at the age of five, she discovered her passion for House music in the mid-90s, becoming a staple in LA’s underground club scene.

From dancer to promoter, Juliet organized major festivals with "Go Ventures" before dedicating herself to cultivating LA’s dance community as a Core Member of "Open House." Her evolution led her to the decks, where she has shared stages with globally renowned DJs and headlined prestigious events worldwide.

Juliet’s impressive résumé includes performances at major US events like Coachella, Insomniac festivals, and Expo NYC. She has shared the stage with legends like Hot Since 82, Riva Starr, Peggy Gou, and DJ Sneak, among others. Known for her distinctive blend of melodic, soulful, and deep sounds, Juliet has captivated audiences internationally, playing in iconic cities like Amsterdam, Paris, and Mexico City.

Beyond her performances, Juliet is a cornerstone of LA’s House music culture, holding residencies at celebrated nights such as "Thick," "Open House," and "Jill’s House" (formerly Jackin Jills). Her dedication to the genre has earned her accolades, including the Unsung Hero award from Defected Records and recognition as a Beatport brand ambassador, solidifying her role as a global ambassador for the vibrant House music movement.
Outside of her music career, Juliet Mendoza is a passionate educator at the prestigious iO Academy music school, where she shares her expertise and inspires the next generation of artists. With upcoming releases on her own record label, Spiritual Systems, as well as collaborations with D’eaupe and Snatch, Juliet continues to push the boundaries of House music. Her journey stands as a testament to her unwavering dedication and profound impact on the global music scene.

We asked Ewan to make us a short promo mix and this came in, totalling 32 tracks and clocking in at 2 hours 24 minutes! It opens with the sound of Mark Hollis’s voice as a nice nod to Spirit of Eden and then veers from drone through Balearic, Compass Point ish funk, Psych-y stuff and ends with Krauty excursions and a smattering of New Wave Pop.

Part two of RA.999: two NYC Downlow favourites go back-to-back for the first time with a jubilant homage to classic house.

The RA Podcast launched 19 years ago in 2006, making it one of the world's longest-running online mix series. As we gear up to celebrate the 1,000th episode, RA.999 lands with five mixes across five days with a cohort of artists who've left a singular mark on electronic music over the past few decades. The chemistry and legacy of these duos make for something very special—and worthy of such a huge milestone.

First up was 1morning and Regal86 with a live recording from New York's Bossa Nova. Next up? We move to NYC Downlow, and who better to capture Glastonbury's beloved queer utopia than Prosumer and Peach, going back-to-back for the first time.

If house is your thing, then Prosumer and Peach going one-for-one on the decks is nothing short of a treat. With Glastonbury still just about in the rearview mirror, this mix captures the spirit of NYC Downlow. If you're familiar, you'll know this means steamy euphoria all-night long, sweat dripping from the ceiling and an intoxicating feeling in the humid air.

And Prosumer is a true Downlow darling—a treasured custodian and storyteller of dance music who delivered his first RA Podcast way back in 2007. "If a record doesn't move me emotionally or physically, I won't play it out," he said at the time, befitting of the impeccable curation and irresistible body groove that became his trademarks. He is, in the words of the Johnny Dangerous track in the mix, the "King of Clubs."

For Peach, RA.999 marks a full-circle moment: Prosumer's 2019 closing set in the Downlow is one of her all-time Glastonbury memories. Since her first RA Podcast in 2021, the London-based artist has only grown more in-demand, with sets that typically traverse the house and techno lexicon—and occasionally R&B—with a distinctly peppy energy. "Neither of us are afraid to go deep," she said about playing with Prosumer. "We just had fun with it."
