Pittsburgh becomes a centrepiece for all his creator’s ideas and thoughts: “Is/Was”, “Was/Is”, “TerraFirm” labels were born here. The list of underground artists, who released their stuff here, is too long to discuss, but Liquid Earth, Dwayne Jensen, Omni A.M. - isn’t this planet as huge as Jupiter, huh?!

Master Tony Fairchild and his ethereal selection are going to span the globe.

For Trushmix 200 we got two mixes by the founders of it all!
LA 2000 and DJ Fett Burger in the mix.

LA 2000 recorded a fantastic balearic mix in 2007. It was early on when the balearic genre was rediscovered as a thing. Really good tunes selected in a masterful way!
Just to put it in context, This was in 2007, so balearic wasn’t as familiar like now, only heads started to pick this up again after the heydays in the 80’s, so some really good compilations started to float around, and that became a spark. Also DJ Harvey hadn’t yet made his euro comeback so it was a whole different time back then, it was very marginal. Very nice in many ways. A fantastic mix, that is recorded a bit too loud on a lousy PC.

The second mix, by DJ Fett Burger is a quite eclectic mix recorded in 2009 for a CDR label called Sony Norge, under a different DJ alias. 
This mix matches the previous mix in an odd way, a proper out there balearic interpretation, with some Norwegian cuts that make it local in a global way. So we got a package full of surprises here! You never know what will come next! 

As one mix, these two become quite something, a perfect journey for a 200 mix celebration on Trushmix! It’s a listening party for people who want to take things to a special level. And it really catches the essence of what Trushmix is about!

There's an old-school touch to ISAbella's sound. Breakbeats, rolling tech house, progressive house and trance pepper both her studio mixes and her debut EP, transporting listeners to a place of peak '90s indulgence. It's no wonder, then, that vintage rave sounds are a signature tenet of MARICAS, the club night and label that she helped start in 2018.

Her love for the '90s is tangible on her RA Podcast, an emotional journey across breakbeat house, trancey techno and funky electro. First-rate throwbacks such as Canyon's "Move" and "Lightspan Soundwave" by The Shamen exude a carefree euphoria, while heavier cuts like Desert's "Moods (Club Mix)'' intensify the feeling of rapture. Even the contemporary releases, like Bashkka's excellent "C-quence Of Calamities," feel rooted in nostalgia.

MARICAS mixes are usually energetic from the get-go, but ISAbella starts out nice and relaxed this time around. The mix's most striking element is how personal each track feels—a reflection of her intimate relationship with these records. Each one evokes a special poignancy and though these ephemeral selections were largely improvised, ISAbella believes they "show what's going on lately and what's going on forever."

New name same game! DJ Oltermann aka Ollie Koponen saves the day with some house music for your brain! A two hour mix with new and old-school house burners, acid, early trance, breakbeat and beyond. A good energy mix from the the massive house music fan and collector!

DJ Oltermann keep busy in the Helsinki scene, running the super cool record store OK Sound Helsinki. A proper place for quality digging! Also he throws parts and DJ's! Keeping the underground alive!

Good day / G’day / I hope this next mix finds you well / how about some precedented times for once! Interpret that as you please. Whatever your poison, it’s time for another dose and the doctor is in. It's with an absolutely full heart that I present to you the next chapter in the ‘stay the fuck home experience’. Our esteemed guest is none other than Mr. Naarm Deepcast himself, Myles Mac, aka a tall glass of water aka captain cloud aka Mt. Killa’dancefloor’o. Literally one of the OG immovable chess pieces of the Melbourne scene. Responsible for bringing Oz music up to date and into the future through the Melbourne Deepcast // TIP!! (for which I owe a lot to in many ways) and for bringing the world to us through a multitude of platforms and ideals thrown together across nearly every venue in Melbourne. For all his merits he’s still remained a very humble dude, he has all the time in the world for others and their harebrained schemes. Myles will gladly lend his ear to munted punter’s telling the same story for the third time, just a bloody good all-rounder, you could take him from kick-ons straight to meet the parents and they would best mates within the hour. I've had the pleasure of knowing Myles for about ten years now and seeing what he’s done and how he’s done it has been a pleasure to watch, he’s paved the way for many a DJ, myself included.

So, you’d think with all this experience in Dj’ing, running parties, and curating one of the better mix series in this audible world that he’d be able to produce a stunning mix that really highlights his knowledge of all of the above and the human psyche in response to those avenues, well, you’re correct. The mix is absolutely sublime. I couldn’t think of a better soundtrack for the introduction to hot weather, pool hangs, spritz’, warm nights, long drives down the beach (which we can now do), and whatever else you associate with summer. The mix itself is an audio-guided tour through a perfectly curated exhibition, gently carrying through from room to room, subtle nods in every direction but with subconscious overarching narrative tying everything together. This is achieved through the lost art of DJ’ing. Scientists say that these “disk jockey’s” would spend years searching for special types of recorded music for which they would then “blend” together on some “banging sound system” to the public to create moments of pure euphoria. This mix will end up in museums as a perfect example of that so people can really understand how their parents met. Anyway, the mix is laden with nostalgia, a 90’s head wet dream, continuously cementing a smile on your face and the overwhelming urge to nod your head. Pack some lunch for this trip, an extended hike through the mind of Myles Mac. This is your cue to stop reading and press play.
