Nathan Dawidowicz's path has been one of contrast and exploration. Born to a Polish-Lithuanian mother and Cameroonian father, they moved from Milan to Jerusalem at the age of six, growing up in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. While pursuing an academic path in design, music remained a constant companion, deeply rooted in childhood experiences playing the piano within religious ceremonies.

Though design became their formal study, it was music that provided a way to navigate life. Inspired by their father’s time as a DJ in Milan throughout the '80s and '90s, Nathan’s relationship with sound evolved, eventually leading them to Berlin, where they continued to explore expression through music.
In Berlin, they joined forces with Luspoderosa, a label based between Zurich and Berlin, known for its unconventional approach. This collaboration became the foundation for Nathan’s debut solo album, Sanctuary of Ideas—a deeply personal, cosmic exploration of memory, heritage, and the emotional landscapes of sound.

The call of duty or is it a double date? Either way, this show, also known as Arco Spettro, is a pre-recording made many moons ago for Arpa, my dear friend Barnabe Fillon’s perfume brand. B kindly asked me to record a series of mixes representing each scent from its first sequence. One of the main inspirations for his collection was the documentary Sisters with Transistors, which focuses on female electronic music pioneers. Bearing this in mind, it seemed like a good idea to feature only female composers in these recordings. Flying away from the Typhoon Kong-rey with the last plane from Shanghai, arriving straight to Miki Abe, his inaugural wonderful Picnic People Panic to the DJ booth at Womb Tokyo to take over from the superb Alien Sex Friends.

Here is the live recording.

Ryosuke Tsuchiya, who also served as PA, mastered this mix. He used a unique approach, including IR reverb, to simulate the environment of the day with an immersive feel.
WOMB is a club with a very high ceiling and wooden floor. The subwoofer, with its large horn, gives the kick a rich ambience.
