Marathon DJ who is infamous for 8+ hours DJ sets from Sendai, Japan

Also owner of Ene Records, which has been at the forefront of the edgy underground label scene since 2009. A list of contributors including Prins Thomas, Eddie C, Man Power, Tiago, Lord of The Isles and homegrown Japanese talent such as The Backwoods, Cos Mes, and Sly Mongoose.

He is also 1/2 of Mascaras duo along with 5ive, destroying dance floors from the most intimate venues in Japan all the way to playing 10 hours set at Berlin's Cocktail D'Amore constantly over the years. 

Chida remains that rarest of phenomena, a performer who has managed to carve out a global DJIng schedule purely from the merits of his sheer skill behind the decks, and has been beloved from headz around the world for the last 30 years.

Seelie has been showcasing his deep love for music for the best part of 20 years. During this time, his passion for dance music culture and its values has manifested in an array of channels.
         
         As a DJ, he quickly became a regular throughout the UK’s clubbing institutions and illegal rave scene, playing alongside the likes of Move D, Chez Damier, Jane Fitz, Prosumer, Derrick Carter and Jeremy Underground.
        Once in Bangkok he founded the infamous Transport parties, using warehouses, rooftops and disused strip clubs to curate secret location events across the city. The Transport crew are passionate about representing diversity and showcasing local talent, as well as inviting some of the worlds finest underground artists such as Sound Metaphors, Eternal Love and Telephones  amongst others.  Now 7 years in Asia, Seelie has become a permanent fixture at some of the continent's most renowned underground parties. Playing yearly at festivals such as Wonderfruit as well as club meccas;  Savage Hanoi, The Observatory Saigon, Mihn Hong Kong, Time Manila, Potato Head Bali and Pistil Seoul and Oath Tokyo. 
          Beyond the club, Seelie has a deep affection for radio and its roots. Whilst being invited to host shows on stations such as Red Light Radio, Mixmag and Kiosk, he began the co-creation of Bangkok Community Radio. This community focused platform has allowed him to invite the likes of Heels & Souls, Eternal Love and Planet Trip’s Mike Who on his breakfast show.  Here he showcases his full spectrum selections that span from blissed out balearica to unearthed dance music from every corner of the globe.

Sound Metaphors Mix Series 24 : Seelie

For the first mix of 2024, we welcome ffan, the owner of Seoul's club NYAPI, who is active as a DJ mainly in Asia, and is bridging South Korea, Japan and the next generation of the Asian house and disco scene. This mix is a live from October last year at MITSUKI in Tokyo. Maintaining groove and tension, blending old to new, he will take you to his immersive zone, and will not let you go till the end. Trushmix presents Bristol's own Curly Waters. No stranger to the Trushmix series. This time Curly was on a visit in Berlin, and played a smashing set at DJ Sotofett's  Tresor x Wania night at Globus/Tresor!

Here a three hour set consisting of quality mostly house and techno music. As an opening set for an amazing night, Curly starts easy and gradually builds up a consistent strong vibe and energy. Some dubby sounds, US style, UK sounds, electro, hints of breakbeat, and some good shifts in tempo and groove. This is it!

The most important figure in the Seoul dance music scene who leads the South Korean underground scene with his unique perspective, he has invited many international artists to Soul. He opened a club NYAPI in 2022 which has outstanding sound quality and his sense of style scattered in every detail.
His music gained basically from many experiences at local and international gigs, and this will surely create a unique groove that is not confined to any genre.
