Deti Vechnosti - Pered Rassvetom opens the gates to plug into the socket of our collective deranged consciousness, generating frisky and flamboyant specks to brightening darkness that confines our lives. Offering glimpses of the great unknown we also carry within. The Track introduces Chikiss & Mustelide’s new group “Deti Vechnosti”.

Alexander Arpeggio & OhLandy’s “Der Anruf”, wich originally appeared as a French language version on a previous Sameheads / Diapason tape release tells those tales of hot and hotter heat. Karmic payback for the sweaty and long nights enveloped in the halo of resonating frequencies of silly and high-spirited mischief.

Rouge Mécanique - Down the Line - follows suite in the odyssey that is a demented night out, sitting in front of a club, realising that the leatherjacket you picked up a few streets ago from the ground doesn’t smell like adventure but like spew.

The B-Side opens with Automatenfall - a hardware electronic 3 piece, previously appearing live at Sameheads during a “My Friend calls it K-Jazz” event. A yearning that eventually gets us on a spiritual path and headed toward enlightenment through the meandering melange of chimes, that little sounds that usually overcome us in the weirdest of times.

Das Kinn - the new project from Toben Piel, who’s part of Frankfurt’s MMODEM family, and one half of Les Trucs evokes memories of better days, black leatherpants - think Falco meets DAF - Überpop for the Untergrund.

Stopping for a final coup d'œil is Alessandro Adriani’s - Preserved Data Space. A persuasive case of brutally but lovingly worked machines serenading sawtooth waves of an infinite Weiter, a dissolving timeframe - the longest after hour I’ve been to, it lasts more than a year now already and counting.

Berlin nightclub Sameheads do another family roll call for their next V/A compilation, the aptly titled 'Vax!'. Like their previous outings they've rounded up artists with close ties to the steamy, sweaty basement to help keep the spirit of the club alive and well. For this instalment they welcome Chikiss & Mustelide’s new group, Deti Vechnosti, electronic hardware trio Automatenfall, Mannequin Records boss Alessandro Adriani, Alexander Arpeggio & OhLandy, Frankfurt’s MMODEM member Das Kinn and our pick from Romain Azzaro's Rouge Mécanique alias.

Amsterdam's Osàre! Editions and Berlin's Sameheads team up to present a spicey spilt-side release. A hot take on new wave-saturated punk, the record flirts with the raw sound of the underground, spiralling through free-wheeling experimentation and raucous evenings, powered by throbbing revelry.

First up, three-piece assemblage Taurus crank up an electrified automaton for 'Paket.' With a voice like a supermarket tannoy from a half-forgotten fever dream, Diana Barbosa Gil reels through the days of the week, accompanied by a minimalist, plodding melody. Exploring ideas of self-determination and authority, the band combines spoken-word surreality and in-your-face dance zeal. 'Spielen' captures their palpable chemistry on-stage – the track was recorded live during Sameheads event series Diapason, curated by residents Eva Geist and Ondula.

Turning over to the B-side, upping the ante and the tempo, Schulverweis follow in the footsteps of the Geniale Dilletanten tradition. Art-haus proclivities bounce along to an ear-worm beat in 'Schwarzfahren,' followed up by the bass-whistling wizardry of 'Ichbineinarzt.' Before going out with a bang, howl and a whimper via the aptly titled 'Blut.' Schulverweis' slick delivery is entirely instinctual, improvised in jam sessions over hypnotic loops produced using a children's Casio keyboard, discovered years ago in the dusty corner of a club.

The EP is a testament to the long-standing collaboration between the dual imprints, with Osàre! label boss Elena Colombi appearing frequently on Sameheads lineups. The pair are further united by their shared passion for explosive new talent and all things a little unconventional.

The track “Olias” finally gets its press after once being performed live at the fabled Sameheads festival “City of a Thousand Suns”… those were the days eh…..

On the Mutant Radio side, fresh talent TINA delivers her debut release, and for that matter, the first ever track Mutant have put onto a piece of vinyl….. The track “Vacation” is the squelchy black sheep counter balance to the silky synth vibe of the other side. Just how they like it.

The release will be up for pre-order from next week, and the digital stuff too….

"It took a while before it was this. It was a place to find clothes made by people lost in a minefield of ideas who liked to party. It was a place for temporary visions that turned out to happen and were then forgotten. It was always a place to find a new circle of friends. A place for expression where the throttle had been loosened and we all careered into the next day and the day after that. We all need to meet in the flesh away from the pixels and connect our first thoughts. Somewhere to ruffle our own feathers and take off on a phantom flight. It has been all this and it still is. Only now there is a record label to try and actually document a little of all of that. Welcome to Sameheads. 

This record is a morsel from the community. Novo Line, Twoonky, Kruton, Kris Baha and Antoni Maiovvi and Balance Crew aka Dane Close & L. Zylberberg. Six acts whose sweat is in the carpet and who all owe more than seven euros to the place for one reason or another. Six songs that electrify a new way to no wave. In the fitness studio a lycra-clad, sweat band-adorned crowd readied themselves to sweat away the stresses of the day. In single file they made their way into the room, greeted by the loud vibrations reverbarating from the speakers in each corner. The windows of the room slowly began to cloud up as bodies began to writhe around the room, losing control in time to the rhythms of the music. There was never any clock watching during these sessions, this was a different kind of work out.

The second instalment of the Sameheads’ bi-annual compilation series puts the spotlight on the artists who frequent the Berlin-based "bar/club/playground/space/collective/cult/whatever’s musical mavericks". The EP features tracks from An-i, Franz Scala, Alexander Arpeggio & Marlene Stark, Epsilove & Ohlandy, Anklepants and Umlaut! who deliver a bunch of oddball bangers.

In lock-down hours Umlaut! have forged a pop-song so real, so relatable, you’ll want to smash your cell and hug your daddy. This world is where corrosive electronic-chason from Epsilove & Ohlandy sweats-it-out alongside Alexander Arpeggio & Marlene Stark’s sleazy workout-regime, whilst on the yard dick-faced messiah Anklepants squares up to technoid gang-boi; An-i. All watched over by the Macgyver of this stinking shit-hole; Franz Scala. 
Hooch! is a magnifier, a one-way mirror to our diminished dignity reminding us that nothing good comes from playing it safe.

PRÉMIÈRE: Epsilove & Ohlandy - Chaosmos [Sameheads]

Berlin club and partystarters Sameheads return to black wax on April 10th with "ZEUG!", a 4-track EP from various celebrated artists, who join forces in new and unheard ways for a stack of outernational and spaced-out dancefloor jams for creative dance floors worldwide and beyond.

First up is Mameen 3 (a side-project from Brussels selector DJ soFa and Cheb Runner) & Romanian pioneer Rodion G.A with ‘Planet Cluj’, a suitably off-world excursion through a fun-packed disco hall in some far-off colony where layered synths are stacked, elements seeping through one another to form a mesh of groove.

The release is celebrated at Sameheads on April 10th with an extremely rare live show from Rodion G. A., an appearance from INVERSIONS label owner Milo Smee, and a b2b from Don’t Dj & Dane Close. Limited to 300 pieces, this record will find a home in the stacks of DJ’s willing to step outside genre and convention.

The fire burned bright, the roaring flames unfurling in shades of orange and red. Sparks showered down through the darkness met by murmurs and cheers from the crowd spread around its fringes. As if under a spell they swayed and moved their bodies in unison, the indefinable words leaving their lips morphing into ritualistic chant...

For their third release, Berlin nightclub Sameheads enlist the help of friends and celebrated artists to contribute to a four track V/A; the result is a batch of spaced-out dance floor cuts that touch on a variety of influences and step outside genre and convention. There's a fun-packed synth jam from Mameen 3 (a side-project of Brussels' DJ Sofa) and Romanian producer Rodion G.A, a dubwise closer from SHAKEY - the meeting of minds of Silvia Kastel and Wilted Woman, KRENG bring sludgy syncopated beats on the B-Side and our pick, from Greek producer Anatolian Weapons, who brings back the ritualistic chant over punchy bass and drums, before building to a climactic finish. The artwork was conceived by Crosslucid AKA Sylwana Zybura and Tomas C. Toth, who deliver their signature perception-bending viewpoint.
