The hands of the blackbird clasp around the rope frozen by Volga's though mood. The boatman, tarnished by an hypothetical sun, seems to coincide with the interminable river. The wrinkling of his frozen fingers mixes up with Valdai’s hills outline.The slowly moves of the ship crew reflects a long lament toward the Caspian sea they will probably never reach. Zhuravel (@leonid-zhuravel) leads the boat of Feng Shit 23rd, on the banks of a river dreamscape infused by misty folk, ethereal ambient and erratic jazz.

Dancing For Mental Health is back with a guest we have been trying to book for many months now. It's Slobodan Brkic aka DJ Brka, the Serbian DJ behind the wonderful long-running Disco Not Disco nights at 20/44 club in Belgrade.

Slobodan is well-known in music circles for his unique blend of 80s ex-Yugoslavian New Wave and Electronica. He has played a few festivals in the last couple of years as well as a Boiler Room with fellow 20/44 resident Schwabe and recently took part in a Red Light Radio all-dayer of Serbian music at the infamous boat venue and home of his own party series 20/44.

Needless to say, we are delighted to welcome Slobodan for his first public appearance on Berlin shores and are very much looking forward to what he will bring to the party!

Support on the night, as always by DFMH residents Dama & Budino and Tom Bolas. We'll bring the old E&S mixer out again to get the best out of the sound system.

This record is an extension of a foray into trance ritual music.
It's structured as a companion for film, meditation, vision seeking & sound rest.

It's by nature a nature worship record, combing acoustic percussive improvisation, sensory foley, vocalized staccatos, and a specific brew of physical/metaphysical sound relations....mind hush/thought flush/spirit rush/sun rise.

Inspired by an initiation ceremony of the Bwiti/Fang people of Gabon. This collection relays a fragmented branch of timings of this ceremony. Plus proposes alter paths for the sacred (Mougongo) instrument.

Recoded + Restructured + Reflected as a time capsule.

With fullest respect/blessings to breeze the Bwiti understandings through current climate.
