Who doesn't love a good romance? I've always found the story of Tristan and Isolde to be a far more compelling star-crossed romance than that of Romeo & Juliet, but that's just me. Hope you like!

I guess I was wrong when I said that I was done making music for the year. Anyway I can’t say that there was one specific thing that inspired this song, but the main theme of it was what happens when a child star isn’t famous anymore, when their beauty fades and how the rest of the world sees them. I was inspired to write this when I watched a documentary called The Most Beautiful Boy in the World (I recommend it to anyone) and it was about Björn Andrésen who at a young age became famous for his incredible beauty.

The Lonely Doll Song

This is my latest project. The subject is kind of dark I suppose. The viewpoint is from one half of a destructive relationship between a suicidal woman and the person who loves her and is desperate to save her, but alas she doesn’t feel as though she truly belongs in the world. Inspired somewhat by my own mental health issues and that I’ve seen in others. On a more trivial note it’s also inspired by that feeling of anger when you wake up in the middle of an amazing dream that you were having.

Don't Wake Me Up

I was inspired to write this after rereading Flowers In the Attic. It's a story that has always moved me. The first time I read it it sunk it's teeth into me and has yet to let me go. At one point in the story Cathy calls Christopher her "Prisoner of Hope" and that stuck in my head.

Prisoner Of Hope

This song was inspired by my favourite book of all time 'The River Folk' by Margaret Dickinson, specifically the character of Mary Anne Clark. I first read the book nearly twenty years ago and I’ve loved it ever since! Mary Anne is a character that will stay with me until the day I croak.

The Ravens Song

My latest track 'Dance Ballerina, Dance' was inspired by a passage in VC Andrews novel 'Flowers In The Attic'. It's spoken by the character Chris when he's trying to inspire his sister Cathy, a ballerina to dance and forget about their gloomy situation. The song was also inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's novel "The Steadfast Tin Soldier".

This is a track that I have been working on for a long, long time and I can’t tell how relieved I am that it’s finally completed! I was inspired to write this after I had this dream about an alien that landed on earth and fell in love with eight people. The alien appeared to each person in a different form.

Nameless

This song was written with the timeless love story of Beauty and the Beast in mind. Hardly original and for good reason. It struck me that many love stories written before and after Ms. Barbot's fairytale have some aspects of the story when you really look. From the Greek mythologies to stories like The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Frankenstein, Dracula, The Phantom of the Opera and The Man Who Laughs and so on. Even Romeo and Juliet were raised to see the other as a "Beast" but instead found beauty. It’s everywhere! A talented artist named Xowie Bowie helped me with this.

Beautiful Creatures

This is something that I’ve been working on for a while. The lyrics are about people who have no real identity of their own and so they do their best to emulate that of others. Sometimes I envy them and other times I pity them.
