Luv Shack Records' newest EP marks the 26th release on the label, and its a classic split affair by stalwart Artists Space Echo and Jakobin & Domino.

Space Echo's "My Heart, My Soul" evokes the best feelings we have for sample heavy filter house, but manages the transition to modern club standards effortlessly, and elegantly.

"Party Together" is Space Echo in full on laid back funk territory at the start, but quickly turns into a deep and highly addictive stomper that just gets more intense as it goes along.

Jakobin & Domino bring us "You Want My Love", a disco infused house jam that overflows with sultry vocals, moody fender rhode hooksa and a super catchy drum sample.

"Filter Queen" is a full on party track that is basically eponymous, but Jakobin & Domino amp up the classic theme (house beat & filtered sample) with a modulated synth sequence, a few well timed fx and a funky beat to boot.

Luv Shack Records‘ 28th release marks the return of Vienna based artist and label regular LeSale. The Baguette Magique EP packs three punchy original tracks plus a remix by deep disco don and Vienna resident Roman Rauch.

First off, there’s the original version of “Baguette Magique”, an uplifting dance opus carried by a tantalising disco sample, a plethora of bleeps and synthetic patterns, evolving into a cosmic, almost-techno piece in the second half. 

Roman Rauch’s remix takes out the tempo and the quirkiness of “Baguette Magique”, instead opting for a laid back 80s tropical groove, turning the original theme into an insanely deep and obscure chord sequence. 

On the flip, LeSale takes things to disco territory with percussive drums, a cheeky filtered sample and a hyperactive synth bass sequence on “House Rules”.

“Jungle Breeze” wraps up the release, offering a hazy mix of deep pads, tribal drums and oddball flute samples.

Baguette Magique EP

The Austrian electronic music label fortunea records is back with a new 12“. Viennese label-member "Peletronic" is the key figure on this record.

His intention was to limit himself in the use of external samples, without loosing on his own signature style. He tried to achieve this by recording all essential parts by himself and by flipping those snippets later on in a sample-jam manner.

The opening track "Blyss" is an infectious deep house groover.
Shredded filtered vocals, a bouncing bassline and a sun rising pad are the main characters of this piece.

Salzburg’s globetrotter Demuja is also present on this release by contributing a remix. He did a classic NY style house music treatment of the title track. It peaks with stunning strings and stabs and has a lot of potential for being heard during this years open air season.

The B-side of Peletronic's EP also features the original track "Wrapped In Silk". A gently calm down tune for afterhours. The slow tempo supports the vibe of silky pads and dreamy vocals.

And to wrap it all up, this track has been remixed by a second well-known Austrian artist. LeSale brings the mood of the original perfectly over to the dancefloor and adds some acid flavor to it.

Overall a great selection of music for this summer, made up by all Austrian artists. Check it out!

3 years have past since the release of the Fortunea Cookies Vol. 2 ep. Now, the Viennese label is resurrecting their various artists collection with a third entry.
 
The A-side begins with a smooth deep house piece by LeSale. Dreamy strings and sparkling pads chime together with a thriving funky bassline. A beautiful opener for estival sunset moments.
 
Peletronic and Klaus Benedek team up together on A2 with some ‚Analogue Kinda Funk‘. Finished during the lockdown while sending the project back and forth over the web, this track gives you an eerie and compelling feeling of the Zeitgeist we are living in right now. Dark reverberant percs, a crunchy guitar and a stunning drum beat will turn your flat into a club for sure.
 
The B-side features a new member on the fortunea roster. Dzc. is a young and talented dj and producer and this is her first production that is coming out. It’s called ‚The Truth‘ and is a well made peaktime track and a homage of early to late 90s house, techno and trance music.
 
Lukas Poellauer finishes this record. But not alone! He brought Schreder with him and together they make a ‚Midnight Ride‘ through a melancholic, acid-fulfilled desert.
