Luca Trentini's 3rd release on Blessyou, further exploring and perfecting his disco sample-based recipe to dancefloor enhancement. A well put together club oriented tool kit put forth by a seasoned DJ himself, Luca shares his club secret weapons with us once again. Coming on strong on the A side at 124 BPM with a driving momentum splashed with acid nuances - peak time main room Cocktail D'Amore material. "So High!" drops down to 120 BPM with a more playful use of his sample pallets.
Moving down to low 90s BPM on the B side with a downtempo chugger jungle flavoured cruise as he befriends a few animals with a lot to share, including what sounds like a Kookaburra and a few big cats. Something here for everyone.

Trent : Intergalactic Disco Patrol

Alex Albrecht returns with Aurora - a pristine followup to his Blue Caves transmission via Scissor and Thread in 2018.

The Melbourne based composer and sound designer Albrecht has leans into his predilection for woozy, affecting melodies intertwined with skittering drums and snaking grooves, and Aurora brings that to the fore with six tracks of shimmering beauty.

The title track Aurora is shared here as a remix by @roza-terenzi, who entirely reworks the track with her signature club ready grooves.

Jaïr Darnoud, also known as Groovegod, was born in 1998 in Amsterdam South-East, known as Bijlmer. This culturally rich neighborhood exposed him to a diverse array of music from an early age. One of his earliest musical memories involves the turntable of his childhood friend, which ignited his passion for music. This early experience led Jaïr to a lifelong journey in exploring and creating music, culminating in his unique invention of Alt-groove, a style characterized by its distinctive rhythm not based on the traditional downbeat.

Jaïr's musical education is a blend of self-taught skills and formal training. Initially learning through "YouTube Academy" and personal experimentation with a dj mixer and some midi controller, he later took courses with DJ Abstract and Evander de Koning. At 22, Jaïr further honed his craft at the Electronic Conservatory of Amsterdam, graduating with honors. His innovative approach to music, particularly through the concept of Negative Syncopation, has set him apart in the electronic music scene, allowing him to create rhythms that challenge conventional structures.

Rooted in his multicultural heritage and influenced by a broad spectrum of global music, Jaïr's work is a testament to his diverse background. Growing up in Amsterdam, he was continuously influenced by the rhythms and stories around him. This, combined with his formal education and unique perspective on rhythm, has led to the development of his distinctive Alt-groove style. Jaïr continues to share his musical journey through performances, his involvement in the electronic rap group RensJairenOmeUncle, and his ongoing exploration of music's many colours and rhythms.

"We’ve been huge fans of Pacific Coliseum for a long time, so we’re very proud to present an EP with him on SB and who better to introduce the release than the man from Vancouver himself... 'After four years, it feels amazing to return to my Pacific Coliseum project with the Breeze FM EP. This record came together in a really beautiful, collaborative way, between myself and the SlothBoogie crew. I sent over a handful of demos, and together we compiled and developed this record, which feels both fresh and true to the sound of my previous releases. I wanted to have the record bounce around a bit in terms of tempos and feels: Wine Host has a nice sunset, downtempo feel; Breeze FM taps into a deeper, jazzier sound; Feel Free is a peak time Italo jam.
