Shaping the house music scene over the last few years by delivering quality cuts in his signature style for over a decade, Prunk has become one of the most acclaimed names in the current dance music scene. The Dutchman and PIV founder is synonymous with lively house music with disco and soul touches. Still, in his Tamango Records debut, he goes full raw mode for 'Groovebox' EP, which also sees label-boss Yaya on the remix duties to complete the package. Influenced by skippy and broad hip-hop drum patterns, the track flows undisturbed over a bold bassline, old-school vocal samples, and twisted effects: nothing but pure terrace vibes. Yaya gets dubby and hypnotic by providing a tight, essential remix with snaking bass grooves, rolling percussions, and warm textures.

These songs were created with little knowledge of mixing and mastering, but they are full of raw creativity and experimentation. At the time, I was just exploring sounds, trying new ideas, and learning along the way. While they may not have the best production quality, they hold a special place in my journey. Today, I look back and appreciate them as an essential part of my evolution. This album is a tribute to my beginnings—a reminder that every artist starts somewhere.
