Track synths and non-drum instruments all produced with the one n' only #KAWAIIDREAMSFROMMARS library. Drum sounds could've also easily been achieved with another #SAMPLESFROMMARS library, unfortunately, at the time of production ((1983) just kidding) this was logistically impossible.

A dungeon synth and drum and bass/jungle track...

Made entirely in Sunvox using only the samples provided in the SFM kawaii dreams pack run through internal sunvox effects (clip distortion, echo, reverb, and eq). Drums are made from the SFM mpc3000 snacks sample pack, a few Korg congas, and custom made breakbeats programmed in the style of 90s jungle. 

It's something a little different.

Transmission

The Simmons SDS-800 is an 100% analog drum synthesizer produced in the 80s, responsible for the classic, cosmic syn-tom (beeww beeww) sounds used on countless disco, boogie and reggae recordings. In the 90s, the Simmons became re-popularized in the techno world, this time with its raw resonant white noise oscillator being used for jarring hi hat and snare programming. And most recently, the Simmons drum sounds have become a signature  for groups like LCD Soundsystem, featured on tracks such as Losing my Edge and Get Innocuous.

Whatever the style, if you're into unique sounding analog drum punch, the Simmons is where it's at. And they sound particularly amazing when layered with drum machines like the 808, 909 etc. Our SDS-800 has been recorded through a high end signal chain including an Api 512C preamp, Api 560 Equalizer, SSL and 1176 Compressor, Otari MTR-12 Tape Machine and Apogee Conversion, and features an extensive library of sounds.
