Hong Kong is the home of a new project called Dorian Sensation. The label head known as R_L (@R_L-1) has gone it alone after releases with Subsist Records, Concrete and We Are.

Picking up support already from many top artists like Speedy J, Silent Servant, The Black Dog, Edit Select and Brendon Moeller for example, R_L is on the right track as he pushes an experimental and industrial sound of Techno.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the remix by Singaporean @Xhin, where he converts the originals broken beat into a melting pot of ethereal emotions and twisted soundscapes. There’s a lot of elements to study and get lost in that will appeal to those who like to be swept away on mind adventures and delve that little deeper.

The ODD / EVEN (@ODD-EVEN-1) label project from Germany is headed up by established producer @Andre-Kronert and with only a small amount of releases under its belt, has already featured artists like Jonas Kopp, Pfirter, NX1, Jeroen Search, Dimi Angelis amongst others.

Their sixth offering called By Night EP is the newest package from production juggernaut @Johannes-Heil-Official from Frankfurt, who is known for releases spanning the likes of Heiko Laux’s Kanzleramt, Sven Väth’s Cocoon and Len Faki’s Figure.

For this DT:Premiere we selected track two simply named “By Night Part Two” that wastes no time by launching into a tough and driving rhythm. The pressure builds from delayed waves as they open up with intensity and become the main focus under the jackin’ beat. A fine DJ tool is created that is full of energy and hypnotic bliss in the right hands.

The highly regarded @BeAsOneimprint ran by @ShlomiAber has been undergoing a transition of late, moving into more serious Techno and featuring artists such as Eduardo De La Calle, Truncate, Jeroen Search and Markus Suckut for example. It’s an exciting prospect to see the switch happening with top quality releases flying out of the now Barcelona based stable.

The forthcoming release comes from the label boss himself and shows first-hand the sounds he is now championing after a star studded back catalogue on legendary labels like R&S, Josh Wink’s Ovum to Sven Väth’s Cocoon.

Title track “Warfare” was selected for this DT:Premiere as the tough and dancefloor focused sound has industrial elements as it builds with tension before blasting into some huge tribal drum breaks. Perfect for catching people off guard and to add a surprise element in a DJ set.

Part two from the Out Of Place (@out-of-place-735125464) records camp is finally here. Based in Croatia, the new label project is ran by Volster and @Miss_Sunshine who introduces her new alias Insolate following a release highly respected imprint from DJ Deep called Deeply Rooted in France.

Renew is a vinyl only release that covers hypnotic and glitchy sounds to energetic acid influenced flows. The second original track we chose for this DT:Premiere goes by “Deep In The Shades” and it’s moody, driving style is totally compelling. The eerie atmosphere and modular twangs make this a real functional DJ tool with heaps of character.

With a reputation for meticulous attention to detail and a certain richness to the sounds, he has provided us with one of the best Little Helpers packs to date. 
Jesus has seen favour from international DJ's such as Marco Carola, Magda, Oxia, Paco Osuna and many more.  He was also named by Beatport as one of 2015's “rising stars” a prediction that has been realised in 2016 with him climbing the minimal DJ rankings.
Little Helpers is a conceptual digital label courtesy of Andrew Rasse (a.k.a. Butane) and Sean O'Neal (a.k.a. Someone Else) launched in December 2009. Each release on Little Helpers is a strong, reduced groove-tool aimed to satisfy the increasing number of digital DJs. Much like the traditional locked groove vinyl, these tracks are suitable for looping, editing and layering. Yet at the same time, each track has enough variation to stand on its own. That is, each tune, lies somewhere between a full track and a DJ tool -- focusing solely on the rhythm or a singular idea rather than extraneous arrangements.  This new series of sample product takes this concept into new territory and offered is an inspiring pack jam packed with the essential building blocks for Minimal, Tech, Techno and Deep productions.

Little Helpers pres Vol.10 Hugo (Minimal, Deep & Tech)

Samplestate present Essential Lo-Fi House, an expansive collection of beats sourced from analogue hardware, hits, vocals and music loops which are soaked in saturation, character and vibe.  Hard pushed tape reels, glowing valves, dusty stomp boxes, and classic pre-amps that come to life when the red-line get hit and pushed beyond. 

Bringing together all the elements you need to produce music in the style of labels such as Lobster Theremin, L.I.E.S, Shall Not Fade, Unknown II, The Unknown and artists including DJ Seinfeld, Ross From Friends, DJ Boring, Fabio Monesi and Mall Grab.
Classic drum machines like the TR-909 and TR-808, routed through a vintage desks before being smashed to a classic Reel-To-Reel tape machine’s or old school cassette recorders to give an amazingly unique drum loop and one shots folders.

The synth and pad loops were created with a Roland Juno and digital Korg combo before being processed via valves, tape, pre-amps and old analogue filters.
The extensive Drum Hit and Chord/Stab sections were treated in various ways,  valves, tapes, guitar stomp boxes, germanium fuzz, cheap compressors, MPC style bit reduction and transformers culminating in a selection packed with noisy Lo-Fi flavours.

We’ve also included sugar coated Rhodes loops, smashed through vintage desks and burnt to tape, a bitter-sweet vocal section and collection of disco loops to cater for the varied styles and moods of Lo-Fi sub genres.
The Drum Loops folders include 30 full drum loops with multiple variations of each beat and 79 top and percussion loops designed to glue the included kick and clap hits together into the ultimate Lo-Fi groove.
Music Loops are split into Synth Loops, Pad Loops, Bass Loops, Rhodes Loops and Disco Loops ranging from warm dusty flavours to smashed burnt out remnants of sound.
The one-shot folders include some of the most vibe laden Drum Hits, Vocals, Stabs, Chords, Pads, Machine Noise FX, and Sound FX we’ve ever heard.
This pack comes in three main formats, Ableton, Apple or standard Wav as well as Music Loops, Drum Loops and One Shots and Sampler formats only.

While labels and fellow DJ’s continue to take notice, Daniel has shown the world that gritty underground records can also produce impressive sales numbers. Samplestate is proud to announce it latest pack in the Little Helpers series from UK producer Dudley Strangeways. 

Dudley has built on the string of residencies across the UK after consolidating his reputation as a resident of the notorious Back To The Future parties. Dudley has honed his skills warming up for the likes of Terry Francis, Phil Weeks, Eddie Richards and Brett Johnson subsequently opening the door to an international circuit with gigs in Mexico for Comunite festival, as well as appearing on The Boiler Room, and at other well­ known clubs such as the Sisyphos, Weekend club, Golden Gate, the now closed Space Ibiza & Griessmuehle in Berlin as well has just completing his debut North America tour, with dates in for NYC, Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago, Vancouver and Seattle.

As much at home in the studio as he is in front of a pair of turntables, releasing a steady string of music both individually and collaboratively with artists such as David Gtronic & TIJN, in addition to appearances on Leftback, Pleasure Zone, Inermu Wax, Ovum, Little Helpers, Kina music, Vekton Black, IK7, Chord, Stardub & Made of Concrete. This upcoming year is also set to see EPs and tracks released on Pleasure Zone, Curtea Veche, Vatos Locos, Pathway Traxx and his own Leftback label.

In Vol.14 Dudley continues the Little Helpers series moving into new territory.  Featuring a large folder of crisp and rolling minimal beats, a music loops folder and wide selection of one-shots for you next minimal, deep or tech production.
