Jamn' my Fender Strat the other day, found some nice chords progression. Built something around it same day, using LogicX on Mac. Unrefined and unpolished playing, guys. Layered bass, rhythm and played impromptu solo over. I dug up the rack from a hard-drive, so this couple years recording comes as-is, no refinments. Contains pure inspiration with the mistakes provided :)   Juss having some fun...  :D

Yearly ADAM Pro Audio FEST. 30 sec was a requirement and I love the idea to express your self in half a minute shot. Always great to review your prod growth and pay attention on imaging, distinction of the sound. Great way to sweep dust your studio monitors and make car system to sneeze :D

Warning! This is one shot, pure improv recording with Fender Strat and Yamaha bass. 4 min lo0Oong guitar no0oOdle comes in "as-is" conditions, no "missed note" quibbling will be accepted, and "no returns" policy on the reflective thoughts it might induce ;) Now we done with fine-print .... I wish to grab a beer and sit in a far corner of your studio, close to the biggest speaker. See and hear your music in making. Here is mine.

Some good dudes and dudessess decode my music nickname PROck, as PROgressive Rock. To justify this I recovered this casual  Fender session. I know, it is only 4 minutes, not 20(?).  I try to find verse-chorus structure here - I wasn't able too. So falls under Prog and Art Rock to my understanding. Not sure if ELP, PF, Zappa or any 70's genre monsters would approve it .... but hey, that's what Prog is Progressive about, right? By no means attaching myself to the gurus. Full respect to Prog Rock and Art Rock branch, with Supertramp and 10CC. I have become "Comfortably Numb" with "The Things We Do For Love" ... "I'm Not In Love no, no" .... just "Art For Arts Sake" ... it's all "Logic Songs" for me, if you know what I mean ;)

So I exhumed this Logic Pro project from my Macbook, done years ago. Mixed solo, strum, and one more verby Fender lines with Yamaha bassline. Only changed the drums. I missed my real drum set that got lost in the turns of life (darn cheap, but way cool DDrum) Replicate its raw, harsh, solid & lively sound as I remember playing it. 

Other than that, I did not fix anything ... Wait I covered up one part! I got too much into the improv, moving around, dropped the glass of wine off the studio table, hitting it with the neck of my Strat :) It flew nicely!!! leaving red wine stains on carpet. Broken glass sound in the mix is fake, cus recorded guitar with interface. This is what you hear :D

I grabbed kick and snare, tweaked bass synth for a jamming in Korg Gadget app on iPhone 6s. My Depeche Mode piece of DNA turned the thing into a session of interpretation for “I See You” too fast. I noticed the hook turns alike this fab song from my fav 1982 album “A Broken Frame”. I submit and had a blast!

100% organic Korg Gadget sound. Literally two lines. Drum and Bass (but not that DnB one). First is drum machine spirited beats, London. Second bad ass bass from gadget Dublin. Single bass track because synth notes choke and fight each other this way. Small post treatment in Ableton Live 9.7 for more fun. British and White Channel compressors by IK Multimedia. T-Racks Classic EQ, Plate and Hall Reverb CSR, Quad Image IK tools. Automated.

In childhood we were watching thru the stars with my school bud. Exiting atmosphere, riding deep and cold vacuum (and I don't mean a vacuum cleaner :) ... mentally expanding our presence to far outer-space. Until  rock comes up to your throat. Thinking, - How huge the whole thing is?

Stargaze is dedicated to great artist and friend Gary Miles, Anomon @gary-courtland-miles

Musically, keep pursue Impressionism in music. Might be to complex to some or too simple to others, not the point. Some shorter strokes or deep long waves. With all one intention - let you co-create while listen.

Cleaned two blocks around which is all his territory now. He lost left eye in his streets battles last year. Now looks around even when eats from his bowl. Cat's life ain't easy.... :)

Scaredy Cat

“There is no island for your soul, there is only journey to it …“

Beat and synth played with Native Instruments iMashine2 4-track iPad app by taping on iPad surface. Plus my Yamaha bass and Fender Stratocaster for lead and licks. Recorded directly with Maschine MK3. The guitar effect if reversing guitar samples directly in Ableton, though I like jamn with reverse delay (like one can be found in Korg Gadget on iPad). The rest of prod and mastering is done in Ableton Live 10. Thanks for your support!   

The cover art is the portrait of a Big Green turtle who was chilling on a Island of Maui (Canon Rebel T4i, f/8, 1/400sec, ISO-100, 124mm. Lens Canon EF-S 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS USM).
