Walk Back Home is about the 'normalisation' of war, how extreme violence has become common place in many peoples lives and how some kind of normality carries on regardless. A simple story of a journey home in a war zone.

Four original tracks written by ex-'The Sea' singer/songwriter Sam Raine give a taster of what to expect when The Bakseats perform live. Featuring the full band - Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Backing Vocals and Percussion, Drums, Bass, Electric Guitar and Fiddle, its all there creating a mighty and beautiful crescendo of sound. As happy playing on a large stage in a field as they are in the more intimate setting of a local pub, The Bakseats, quite simply, know how to entertain.

With festival favourites ‘The Sea’, Sam toured extensively across the UK, mainland Europe and Ireland and supported bands as diverse as Levellers, Radiohead, Back to the Planet, Senser, Chumbawamba and Rancid. They had a reputation as an energetic and passionate live band and were popular on the festival circuit in the mid-1990's including two performances on the NME Stage at Glastonbury Festival and countless gigs on the Free-Festival scene.

With his band The Bakseats, Sam continued that tradition of entertaining and informing as a live band including a memorable performance at Bearded Theory Festival.

Wanting a bit more flexibility in how he presents his music, Sam decided to go solo allowing him to play either as a band or as a solo performer but always playing memorable and stirring songs with fire and energy. This also allows him to perform songs from right across his musical career, from the early days of The Sea, songs from The Bakseats to songs he might have written the day before the gig... Sam would describe his music as fairly folky but with an edge, a bit Pogues, a bit Waterboys, a bit Nirvana…
