Sam's Blues

A boy speaking to his dog, feeling overwhelmed and that his dog is overwhelmed by the stress of the city. This is another one I wrote while living in Manhattan. The song is actually part of a larger project; I have been working on a rock opera/concept piece for some time about a boy who enters a mysteriously abandoned city in his dreams, meets a silent girl, and strives to return again and again to the city in his dreams. The composition also involves themes of waking vs. dreaming life, subjective reality, and city life as compared to rural life.

Songwriter, composer, session musician. I started out with guitar years ago, then branched out to learn drums and percussion, bass, mandolin, Dobro, keyboards, and banjo. I also sing and record both analog and digitally (Pro Tools).

I am always down to collaborate or explore new projects, so hit me up if you are interested. I am willing and able to adapt and contribute to projects in any genre and find it stimulates creativity to go outside of my usual domain.
