It all started back in 2018. Together with Jokios Kultūros, we stumbled upon a Boiler Room podcast that felt like a jolt to the senses. In a world dominated by slow grooves and chuggy melodies, there was DJ Normal 4 — cutting through the haze with something raw, fresh, and wildly different. We were instantly hooked.

Soon after, our paths took us to Georgia, to the iconic 4GB Festival. Under the open sky, amidst the mountains, we witnessed a b2b set of pure madness: DJ Normal 4 and Bufiman unleashing energy that felt from another dimension. It wasn’t just a set — it was a moment. One for the books. One we still talk about.

From there, Tim’s music became a constant companion. His releases on Second Circle, Klasse Wrecks, Brothers From Different Mothers, his own Aiwo Rec, and especially his debut album Tales of Z on Emotional Response — all played on repeat. They shaped our taste and soundtracked our days.

When we were close to our 100th podcast, we wanted to do something special. We reached out, and Tim said yes. He sent us a live recording that went viral as soon as we shared it. It felt like a big moment.

As our first events in Vilnius began to take shape, there was never a question — we had to bring Tim over. And when he came, it just clicked. What started as admiration grew into real friendship. He became a regular guest — not only on our dance floors, but also within our label. He remixed a track for our FAR EAST FLIGHT remix album, and later contributed a remix to our first vinyl release by Kalocain. He was also part of the fourth edition of Unreleased Territory. Two more visits to Vilnius followed, each one bringing us closer.

Tim has become an essential figure in the story of Electric Shapes. A spark that helped us evolve. An artist who gave us energy, courage, and confidence to push forward. Always kind, always real — with a killer sense of humor and a heart in the right place. A true star without trying to be one.

We’re endlessly proud to know Tim not only as DJ Normal 4, but as a friend, a collaborator, and a key part of what Electric Shapes has become.

From that first Boiler Room podcast to shared parties and shared records — it’s been a beautiful ride. And it’s far from over.
