Now this was a strange creative process. At some point mid-2017, I wrote the groovy bassline on a plane, and I quickly named the project “Airplane Tekno” before landing. The name stuck. Over the next 3 or 4 months on probably over 10 flights, I worked on this record in small, 10-20 minute increments. Unlike my other music, I did not transfer it to my studio computer—in the spirit of the track, I forced myself to work on it exclusively in the air. 

The track’s original piano sample got rejected when we tried to clear it, so I called an old friend of mine, Roderick Demmings Jr. One of the most talented musicians and best human beings I have ever met, Roderick will certainly be a well-known musician and icon in due time. 

In the end, I’m thrilled that the sample got rejected, as Roderick’s piano piece is even better than the original. Sometimes things happen for a reason…

I debuted this track at Soundbar in Chicago.

We are ready to come back with a new main catalogue release, the18th One, this time exploring the limits between UK Rave, Hardcore continuum, Bass Music and Jungle. 

Two sides, two artists each. On the A Side we have Denham Audio: the Sheffield Trio and Exploris, 
Durkle Disco and Nineteen Ninety Four affiliate debuts on BMRec with two post-rave tracks, “Lift Off” 
and “Who Started Jungle”, which will you remember the ol’good times. Dancefloor smashers, for sure! 
The A Side is completed then by a remix of “Who Started Jungle” made by Coco Bryce: the legendary 
dutch producer twists the original vibes in a proper Modern Jungle anthem full of heavy basses, amen 
breaks and ambient landscapes. Wicked! 

Then, on The B Side we’ve the pleasure to welcome Mani Festo: after releasing materials on Swamp81, 
Durkle Disco and Corrupt Data the London producer drops two tracks at high voltage, “All Potential 
Badboy” and “Ruffneck”. 
Low frequencies, rave culture reminiscences: you’ll go crazy for these ones! 
The B side is then closed by an astonishing remix of “All Potential Badboy” by Cosmic Bridge affiliate 
and Perfect Records owner TMSV: the Dutch producer transforms the original one in a raw as hell newdubstep 
anthem, handle with care!
