Amen Connection [Season01]

MY BEST FRIEND is a multi-genre DJ, who effortlessly combines different genres and BPMs in her sets. She is currently a resident DJ for Lakota, Redacted Bristol and Limitless DNB. While hailing from Russia, she has been gracing the dancefloors all over Bristol for nearly 3 years now.
Starting out as a house and drum-and-bass DJ, she has since found interest in breakbeat, jungle and footwork. Her main musical inspirations are Ivy Lab, Sinistarr and Samurai Breaks and she has played multiple high energy sets at classic Bristolian clubs Lakota, Basement 45, Blue Mountain (RIP), Dare 2 Club and Motion. Some of the bigger names she has supported include Sherelle, Unglued, Etherwood, Rohaan, Buunshin, Samurai Breaks and Fabio & Grooverider.

This mix represents her taste in Drum and Bass in its full, one-hour-long glory. Containing tracks from the likes of Buunshin, Imanu and Rohaan, this techy mix will please the ears of lovers of the clean, punchy sound.

Amen Connection Podcast [EP14] ***Guest: Moostatz

Beat-crafter, DJ and Samsara Beats head honcho. HNGVR, or simply Rob when he isn't on stage, spent many years developing his own sound and playing his sets in many festivals, clubs and renegades around all the Bay Area in California and his native island, Sardinia. Halftime, Slowfast & Footwork are HNGVR’s main influences and inspirations but his music is difficult to classify in a specific genre; complex polyrhythmic drum patterns meet fat basslines and soft melancholic melodies, often enriched by chopped vocal samples. He finds himself comfortable on that thin line in between dancefloor music and introspective beats. His passion and dedication to music and all the connections that music creates, pushed him to found Samsara Beats and give his contribution to the Underground Bass Music community.

"In this mix I wanted to cover different sub-genres, BPMs and also different levels of intensity starting from the high energy of Breaks, Turbo-Acid & Footwork-Jungle, going through a more swaying and deeper Halftime and concluding with D&B and Jungle. The mix includes some new, unreleased track as well as some old classics from my favorite labels and my own label Samsara Beats. Hope your enjoy it, cheers from Sardinia!"
