After the success of the previous compilation series comprised of 4 releases (Syncopation, Oscillation, Detonation & Isolation, all available free to download via our Bandcamp page,) we’re excited to present a new series of VA. This time every VA will focus on a specific genre or sub- genre of what we call Bass Music. The title of the first release, ’Eternal Darkness of the Halftime Beats” reveals itself the sonic direction we want to go in, without the need for additional information. As usual, our VA welcome an heterogeneous mix of well known names in the game as well as new comers.

The Chikara Project is back once again with another hot release. This time from the legendary duo Levrige. As fans of both Levrige and Captivate we decided to pick the Captivate remix up for a premiere. Captivate brings in a halftime remix that's ready to rock dancefloors and give you a proper stank face.

The EP fuses the duo’s influences of footwork, dub and old-school drum & bass, all wrapped up with the undeniably tight, modern production that Levrige have been recognized for. From the choppy swagger of the title track, the pulsing sub drops and perfectly distorted 808’s of “Snapback”, and the off-kilter beat skips of “Think You Are”, the EP marks another solid gem from the Vancouver Island-based pair in the Chikara back catalogue. We even recruited the remixing skills of wonderboy @captivatebeats to flip the title track into an angry, halftime monster that has been doing the rounds in clubs from here to the States. FKOF Premiere! 

Glasgow-based dubstep and grime producer/ DJ (and FKOF fam) @kami-o's had a pretty solid 18mo with material. We had our release with him, he dropped his debut self-released album (go check 'Biren' if you've not yet) and now we're back with the next long-player project.
