Described by him as "One of the best parties he's ever played", the vibe was on another level, the music was through the roof, and his performance had everyone in a musical frenzy. We all had a feeling that Rodriguez Jr. was going to be the highlight of our Desert Hearts Spring Festival, but we had no idea that he was about to set the bar for every DJ & Performer at our festival moving forward. Like a   kite in a storm

"Boca Na Água" emerges as a connecting point between Brazilian culture and the current electronic music scene. The track, already tested on major stages such as Ritual Stage at Surreal Park, B.O.M.A, Colmeia at Green Valley, Tetto Rooftop, and others, features excerpts from the iconic Rita Lee, a figure who transformed Brazilian music since the late 1970s.

The vocals, rescued from "Mania de Você" (1979), bear the mark of a time when Rita expanded her aesthetic, approaching pop and disco, without abandoning the boldness that made her famous. By inserting it into an electronic context, the production not only pays homage but also reopens this gesture of rupture and freedom.

The result is a track that escapes predictability: Brazilian in essence, global in reach. "Boca Na Água" asserts itself as a work that doesn't repeat formulas, but rather clearly weaves memory and the present.

It’s pretty hard to describe anything from Burning Man without using phrases, sounding pathetic or cheesy. 
So maybe I shouldn’t try. Or I just don’t care about it?
Pablo asked for a little intro about my set in the tie-up night with Robot Heart when I played the Mayan Warrior art car, so here we go:
Every night, when the Mayan Warrior art car leaves its camp on it’s way to the deep playa it feels pretty sublime, like a wake up call for the rave kids with this drum beats, like a ritual where they follow it’s spiritual leader, the warrior dancer follow their flagship art car, it’s getting more and more crowded, surrounded by hundreds of bikes and of course I’m super nervous entering this elevated Dj booth, shaking from the bass or is it just me? And from one moment to another I am in the middle of lasers and fire, I am taking over the booth and after a second I’ve forgotten every fear and just start playing...

For our 21st release, it's time to welcome Dutchie Music head honcho Juan Mejia! Combining his producer capabilities with a strong A&R work for the last 17 years, Juan has earned a solid reputation in the Deep House music scene, releasing music with an open mind, finding the balance between classic sounds and innovation, keeping the fresh vibe always alive. On the remix duties we have some of our favourite artists featured once again, polish duo Tidy Daps and spanish artist Costela, presenting a nice collection of gems on this release.

'Atlas' is the title of the track, Dutchie Music sound with fat rhythms meeting dreamy pads and jazzy keys, perfect for the groovy Deep House lovers.

Tidy Daps slow down the vibe keeping the track soft and smart, perfect for sun-kissed sessions on the beach, while Costela presents the special touch on this release with a chilled break-beat rhythm surrounded by beautiful pianos, synths and keys...

Juan Mejia - Atlas (Tidy Daps Remix)

Swedish Chinese American singer/songwriter, composer, and DJ/producer SAM SHI (aka Samanta Liza) is a self-taught musical medium. Her music is a fusion of electronic dance, trip hop, psychedelic rock, tribal percussion, and alternative indie. Some of her favorite artists include Portishead, Chopin, Pink Floyd, Billie Eilish, Oliver Koletzki, Boris Brejcha, and Monolink. 

Sam spent most of her 20s in New York City, where she established a presence in the underground rave scene. She has performed at staple nightlife venues such as Mercury Lounge, Paradise Club, and Elsewhere (The Hall). She most recently released her sophomore album under the alias Samanta Liza on her independent record label But Did You Dance. Sam is now based in LA, releasing music in 2025 under her new alias SAM SHI.
