Relentless beats and stabbing synthesizers come together on the title track "Regency”, delivering peak-time dancefloor action that echoes the unbridled energy of festival euphoria. Followed by a rhythmic exploration with "Heir of Snare," Sam Shure's dynamic percussion creates an immersive mainstage experience. "Magnus" brings the EP to a climax by fusing melody-driven songwriting with cutting-edge electronic sound design. Sam Shure is back on Bora Uzer’s OJO imprint this September. The prolific producer, known for releases on the likes of TAU, Habitat and Siamese, made his debut on OJO earlier this year with a powerful remix of ‘I Will Find You’. 

On his return to OJO, the Berlin-based artist turns things up a notch with his first original cut on the label in the form of ‘What?’, which has fast become a staple in sets of the label founder.

Laconia features collaborations with fellow producers Cioz and Cook Strummer, as well as a special apparition by Sam’s paternal figure playing the Oud on Mirage. The tracks explore a diverse array of dispositions, from groovy up-warmers such as Mangata or Louna to more lively dancefloor aggregators such as Kamala Bani, on to the deeply polarizing, whirlwind synth dinger Guz or the more experimental self-evident Not Much To Say.

A novel detail makes an appearance on Je te vois, an acoustic electronic dance number with poetic lyrics tenderly sung in French for the first time. The artist’s romantic side also shows through the mystical elements interspersed throughout, from the spellbinding Encanto to the dreamy soundscapes of Atreyu, named after the famous German fantasy book character.

Thanks to a modest key riff and more cosmic effects, Aubade lends its meaning of “greeting in the sun” to the atmosphere, rounding off the release on an incandescent note.

Having started his affair with music from a young age, Sam Shure’s native talent and his ever-evolving skillset dot him one of the stand out artists rising this year. Pairing electronic sound design and jazzy oriental scapes with a natural flair, Sam’s sound is continuously developing as he constantly adds new textures and layers, pushing his own creative boundaries.
When it comes to his DJ skills, the adopted Berliner channels his creative diversity into versatile sets, being able to serve up assorted atmospheres, playing frequent sets at staple clubs and festivals such as Watergate Club, Gardens Of Babylon, Epizode and Kater Blau to name a few, which also led to landing his residency at the legendary Bordel des arts party in Salon - Zur wilden Renate.
