It brings us a succulent track, "Another Dimension," with tense synths intertwined with a powerful beat that touches on the Detroit techno of a few decades ago but without losing that deep, Chicago-inspired flavor.
This time, remixing this project, we have another prominent 2phonic member, Teboho Nkone, who gives us a more abstract version with fat bass lines that will send those pads straight to your nervous system.

Since being named BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Star of 2013’ by one of dance music’s most respected DJs - Pete Tong, Jonas Rathsman has gone on to exceed all expectations with a string of first class releases, remixes and an undoubted ability to work a dancefloor. 

Closing 2014 with a timeless underground anthem - a remix for global star Sam Smith - kicked of the Swede’s next chapter and marked the start of his two most career defining years to date. Rathsman’s remix of ‘Like I Can’ caught the attention of Annie Mac, who instantly premiered it on her Friday night show, Pete Tong who made it his ‘Essential New Tune’ and Danny Howard, where it became #1 on his ‘Dance Anthems’ show. Rarely have remixes made such an impact. 

In June 2015, this reputation led to an invitation to do the prestigious BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix gaining him widespread support from fans and piers alike. Motivated by the positive response, Rathsman set about releasing more mixes and soon announced the launch of ELEMENTS – a bi-monthly mix series curated by himself.

First featured on his Essential Mix as a white label, his next big release came in the form of the now named ‘New Generation’ via Kompakt Records imprint KX. Receiving notable early support from Skream, Joris Voorn, and Booka Shade, the track quickly sold out the first vinyl release and for the third successive time for Rathsman, it was crowned Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ on BBC Radio 1.

Performances at BPM Festival (Mexico) and Bugged Out Weekender (UK) followed by tours of North America and Australia set the tone for a busy 2016, as Rathsman was invited by Solomun to release ‘Cobalt’ on Diynamic Music’s latest instalment of the ‘Four To The Floor’ series. Lining up alongside Pig & Dan, Guy Mantzur and ANNA, ‘Cobalt’ launched with a fourth ‘Essential New Tune’ on BBC Radio 1 and flew at club level with support from Danny Daze, Joseph Capriati and Damian Lazarus.

Taking his support one step further, in June 2016 Damian Lazarus pushed Rathsman’s next underground anthem ‘Complex’ featuring Australian songwriter Josef Salvat through own imprint, Crosstown Rebels. After playing the record across his Miami Winter Music Conference performances, he reported that ‘Complex’ was “receiving hands in the air welcomes and even a sit-down ovation” and it eventually made the grade for an astonishing fifth ‘Essential New Tune’. 

In 2017 Rathsman’s ELEMENTS brand would continue to flourish, reaching its tenth installment and now extending to one off events that saw him sell out Autumn Street Studios - a five-hundred capacity warehouse space in the east of London. An organic connection was growing both with fans and piers, a connection that would lead to the launch of the ELEMENTS record label which would launch with Rathsman’s own ‘Within Borders’ EP. 

The EP reached the top 20 of the Beatport Techno Release chart, was Hottest Record on Triple J in Australia and received over 10 plays across BBC Radio 1, whilst picking up support from Damian Lazarus, Maceo Plex, Andhim, Joseph Capriati amongst many others.

Nowadays labels spring up like mushrooms but only few remain relevant for the scene and its development. And even though its Isolate's first release ever it's safe to say that the label will have a bright future ahead. Founded by Istanbul's renowned artists Alican Yuksel and Murat Uncuoglu, who have been mainstays in the Turkish metropolis and its blossoming and flourishing scene for longer than two respectively one decade, the both know their crafts to set up a persistent label - proven with the first release, 'Dummy', by Murat himself. The two tracker has already caused waves among artists and music enthusiasts weeks, months before its release - for a simple reason, namely that of being an quality EP that thrills the audience. 'Paradise 25' is all about the chords, which create a flawless dive and drive into the melodically influenced sound-tangle to pick up the audience with its first tone. But dancefloor paradise is reached when Murat jumps into the break - a journey through the warmth of music - to then arrive at the right moment to let 'Paradise 25' unfold its classy peak-time moment.

EXCLUSIVE: Murat Uncuoglu - Paradise 25 [Isolate]

It's been quite a wait for new &ME material here on Keinemusik. But these two new cuts, adding to our catalogue number KM046, sure have been worth waiting for. The EP starts with The Rapture Pt.II and as the title already suggests, it coherently takes up where his last original material had left us, in a stirred state of sweet, harmony-kissed affection. Known as a virtuoso of sound-details, &ME lives up to that reputation, implementing fine synth-elements and temperately rattling percussions, all conjoined by shimmering layers and, of course, an ultimately heart-melting Piano improvisation that at some point will play along to the rhythm of its synthetic brother to a finale that will leave no crowd untouched.

"Solaris" on the flipside adds indeed a futuristic note to the arrangement, opening up with a broken beat and propelling claps. A cut that, as much as its predecessor, is relying on flow and organic shifts rather than forced and peaktime formatted gimmickry, adding a synth arpeggio, white noise, vocal chants and harmonies in a rather subtle way. Nevertheless, it unfolds a compelling strength to heat the dancefloor gradually through its playtime.

Deniz Kabu & Wolfson both have very different musical beginnings, with Kabu coming through the heavy metal world and Wolfson becoming a turntablist at the age of 13 blending hip-hop and breakbeats. Despite the pairs musical backgrounds being worlds apart they fuse their influences together for the third time.

‘Let it Go’ kicks things off with rolling, tribal percussion, smooth vocals, and progressive melodies harmoniously merged together to create an euphoric affair. Moritz Guhling & Monotunes provide a compelling remix through uplifting synth waves, angelic pads and a resonating bassline layered with the warm vocal line from the original.
