#PlasticFreeParty is a collection of conscientious, green-hearted tunes from some of our favourite artists, all brought together to highlight the incredible work being done by our friends at Bye Bye Plastic, the disruptive nonprofit working to eliminate single-use plastics in the music industry and restore Earth balance. The album will be officially launched at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event with a party organised in collaboration with Levantine House in the luxurious W Amsterdam on release day, Thursday 20th October. A world-first, ground-breaking non-vinyl physical version of the album is also in the works.

Curated by Parisian DJ duo Chambord and released on BLOND:ISH’s ABRACADABRA label, #PlasticFreeParty brings together 14 new tracks from artists like BLOND:ISH, Shiba San, Vander & Deer Jade, Urmet K, Zigan Aldi and Chambord themselves.  100% of the album’s profits will be forwarded to the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, enabling them to increase their visibility and message.

Chambord explained how the compilation came to fruition; “In 2020, we worked with Bye Bye Plastic for our first live performance in France. During this time, we gathered a group of friends and associates to create fundraising for this cause, and have been working together ever since. We met with Camille from the BBP foundation, and together with Blond:ish we decided to create a music compilation to raise funds. Together we can hopefully achieve our goals and make a difference.”

Walker & Royce Opening Set

CRXTIAN (Christian) hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and was raised in both Florida and California. His DJ style can be described as a hypnotic blend of dirty south funky bass lines and California psychedelic grooviness. Raised by a 90’s rave mother and all around badass, CRXTIAN’s earliest memories of music include House and DnB, as well as other genres such as RnB, Jazz, Classic Rock, Hip-Hop and experimental sounds that have created a lifetime of musical influences.

Musically inclined from an early age, CRXTIAN started playing drums and percussion in primary school. He developed a passion for DJing after graduating from high school, and soon became a resident DJ and key figure in launching and promoting several successful parties in the SF Bay Area. In 13 years of DJing, CRXTIAN has opened up for both national and internationally renowned artists (John Summit, Solardo, Ardalan, Desert Hearts, Mr. V, LP Giobbi, Worthy + many more). He landed a coveted internship as a stagehand with the famed @voidacoustics speaker sound system, learning the ins and outs of audio on the West Coast festival circuit, where he realized that his career path lay with music, DJing, and live sound. Working towards his bachelors degree in Audio Engineering, CRXTIAN relocated to Nashville, TN (Music City USA) to continue his education while working at studios in and around Music Row. Since 2020 he’s been producing music nonstop, and this month, he’s celebrating his first record label release on Beatport and Spotify with his single, ’Hyena’, debuting on @wetsignalrecords. From intimate nightclubs to desert raves to private parties, you can catch CRXTIAN curating vibes on the dance floor. Check out 2 of his original tracks in this mix including ‘Hyena' as well as him singing vocals on the track ‘Roy’ which was inspired by the legendary Roy Orbison in his first appearance for Nashville House Music.

-How long have you been creating music?

We started producing music as a project in 2020, before that Ira Ange had been into Djing and vocal producing since 2009, Denis Kulikov started Djing in 2012.



-What do you use to make your tracks?

We use Ableton Live and Roland 303



-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?

In 2008, being melomans we collected tech house, minimal and electro tracks, among which we noted production of Claude Von Stroke and Justin Martin.



-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?

Claude Von Stroke, Catz ’n Dogz, Justin Jay, Rebuke



-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

Definitely to Ace Age to stop the squirrel )))) 



-What species of bird best describes you and why?

If Ira Ange was a bird, she would be Nightingale because of her unique vocals and love to singing and as for Denis, by the way, his last name comes from old Slavic mythology name of a small bird  «Kulik» - «Sandpiper»,  that lived on a swamp, since childhood his friends tease him with this bird.



-What does Dirtybird mean to you?

Legendary label from which we get our inspiration during all these years.
