The song MR GWIJI produced at Ogopa Deejays – one of Kenya’s premier music recording studios- is a socially conscientious song warning the society against drug and substance abuse. It highlights three issues: by chastising drug barons over a lifestyle they flaunt at the expense of others’ lives, talking to youths over the repercussions and expresses parents’ sentiment as well as the society at large, that is, the desire for a world free from drugs and substances.
The song brings to the limelight another social problem in a society badly ravaged by violence against women.
