Very interesting! SO many interesting things are going on in the track Bitfunk. I hear the homage to old school 80s funk which was heavily dominated by claps in the first half of the song. I can’t tell which instrument was used but I interpreted it as the clap on the downbeat that was used not only in 70s/80s funk but also today in house and even some trance music. The second half had a lot of cool melodies and I detected even a cool guitar pattern near the end. Id love to see the DAW of this song!

I dig the crushed tiny sound and the sparse arrangement. Interesting stuff.

Recently, there was an untimely death in my close family.
       ....Is there such a thing as a ‘timely’ death? 
I have never dealt well with the notion of end-of-life. 
        ....Maybe, nobody does?
When the urn/ casket is ceremoniously placed in the ground, does the spirit/ soul/ essence/ consciousness of that unique individual live on in some unique manifestation?
         ....I want to believe that is the case.

Hence, the confusing musical/ visual message of this composition. 
If, in death, there is a transition to a new way of being, the interim unknown must be staggering.

I hope all our dear friends and family meet again, and share a beer, on the “other side”.
