[Untitled Stream Song] INSTRUMENTAL 15/05/2020

The results of my livestream on 22nd May 2020

The challenge I set myself was to make a song with the only instruments being my voice and my Casio MT-68. Lets just say it took a lot of effects to turn those pretty terrible sounds into something passable (distortion and reverb are your friends)!

Lyrics were largely collaborative with the stream chat, tapping into some of the feelings of productivity guilt that many of us are experiencing during the current lockdown situations, creeping into hysterical nonsense at points.

Abandon Relaxation [STREAM SONG No3 - 22.05.2020]

Dumbest song I've ever made?
This is the result of the stream from 10th June. All non-vocal sounds are derived from samples of animal noises.

I found this one really tough to mix despite it not being all that dense; the nature of the sounds means there were a lot of unusual frequencies, many of which I gave up trying to tame.

The song itself is really dumb. It ended up being about befriending a mouse who previously stole your cheese. (Yeah, you read that right)

Animal Magnetism - Stream Song 10-06-2020

And I thought last week's song was stupid.

I can really only describe this as a stream of nonsense written with on stream with Adam from Kyros - with an unplanned feature from Mike of Crusade and Become the Knight.

This week I'll be writing a proper song with no set restrictions. Who knows it might even have intelligible lyrics!

Nonsense About Cats [language warning] - Stream Song No.5 - 17/06/2020

This week's song is a bit less stupid. No Cats or animal noises for a change.

Instead we get a prog metal song a la Tool or Mastodon about whenever in  the far in the future it is that our desolate space rock gets engulfed by the enormous fusion reactor that it orbits. Cheerful stuff!
