eggy Van Oers (RVO) has definitely found a sound that fits the world of techno.
His trademark has become a dive into trance-inducing darkness, which can be heard on his releases, his many remixes and his track selection in general. With the experimental nature of his techno style he creates a 3 dimensional environment in his tracks, it combines melodic elements with deep hypnotizing rhythms that roll off your body and stay ever changing.

His trademark had become a dive into trance-inducing darkness, which can be heard on his releases, his many remixes and his track selection in general. With the experimental nature of his techno style he creates a 3 dimensional environment in his tracks, it combines melodic elements with deep hypnotizing rhythms that roll off your body and stay ever changing.

After his debut release “Metza” on Trapez Ltd in 2007 he got great feedback from out the globe. Both tracks on this EP were used in the Trapez Selection 6 mixed by Traum’s label owner Riley Reinhold aka Triple R. Soon after his debut EP he released “Matar” on Field Records that later on was licensed to Manual Music. Berghain’s resident DJ Boris, played “Matar” many times in his sets and selected it as a favourite in his all time top ten tracks.

While have been producing for several labels, most of his creative output has been released on Joachim Spieth’s imprint Affin. His music has been remixed by artists like Jonas Kopp, Ness, Developer, Hans Bouffmyhre and the BCR Boys.

His live performances have taken him to several cities across Europe including Tresor (Berlin), Arena Club (Berlin) and Climax Institutes (Stuttgart).

"This podcast is mainly made up of dance-floor focused bangers that I'm liking at the moment - it's a pretty good representation of how I play at the club with a mixture of dark/hard more industrial tracks with some moments of fun and euphoria in between. It starts off pretty dark and industrial, and then calms down and provides some brighter sounds in the middle, returning to the dark sounds at the end. I feel like it also shows the linkages between the different eras of techno - there is tracks from the 90s, from the early- to mid- 2000s and from today in there.

I'm always trying to tell more of a 'story' when I DJ and try to show off a diverse mixture of sounds - and how they relate to one another. Sticking to one style has always been incredibly boring for me - I hate seeing one-dimensional DJ sets and I also hate playing DJ sets in just one style. I think this mix, like all my mixes, reflects that desire for eclecticism in DJing. Really the DJs I look to for inspiration are more those crazy people that could play anything at any time in a set - people like Optimo when it comes to house music, or someone like Parrish Smith with harder sounds".

@sandra-mosh, DJ, producer, music journalist based in Sweden.

1/ Who are you? What do you do?
A Swedish DJ, producer, and music journalist, part of the Swedish agency/label/family Parabel, and resident at X Malmö in Sweden. I’ve released tracks on my own label MOSH Musik and a few other labels as well, most recently at Lilies/BROR records and Brothers Black. 

2/ Are you inspired by other genres than techno? 
Absolutely! I grew up listening to everything but electronic music actually. The genres that really get me inspired are post-rock, classical music, and various forms of electronic music, like trip-hop, I really love trip-hop.

3/ If music wouldn’t exist, which job would you like to do?
When I was little, and before I really started exploring music, I told my parents I was going to work at NASA when I grew up, so let’s say, astronaut. 

4/ The naughty/improbable anecdote during a gig?
I did get kicked off the stage once. I was booked to play in a town (and country) where I had not played before, so I didn't really know the scene and the club, and the ones who booked me surely didn't know my music either. When I got the venue and started to play it took like five minutes before this guy came up to me and said that I should play more commercial stuff. I said no, and told him I was not booked to play that. Another five minutes went by, then the owner or something comes up and lets me know that if I don’t start playing commercial music I have to stop playing in 15 minutes. I didn't really feel like playing for 15 minutes or even one minute more, so I stopped right then and walked away. A 10-minute set – shortest gig ever.
