One of Sweden its best kept secrets is no longer a secret. After releases on Code Red and Sosumi, Andero proved he is here to stay. The constant flow of quality house tunes coming from his studio keeps surprising us. Every time Andero sends us a new track we are blown away by it. “Sunrise” was no different story and is one the secret ID tracks that Marcus Schössow has been playing for months. 

“Sunrise” is one of early tracks that Andero sent to us. Though the bassline is quite heavy, it’s perfectly balanced, creating a solid groove and disco vibe. In the break “Sunrise” starts to open up to unleash all its energy in the drop. The organic sounds of Andero his latest battle weapon give the track its distinguishing sound, making it something we just had to share with you and the rest of the world. 

With his previous release “Spectrum” Andero gained a lot of respect from both colleagues and fans. It motivated the Swedish DJ/producer to push it to the next level. We can already assure you that a lot of cool tunes are coming up really soon. Andero also started with his own podcast to share his favorite music with the fans.

Like we said before: Andero is here to stay and to make the industry a bit groovier. Especially in that last thing he is succeeding quite well. It is one the reasons that Code Red’s chief Marcus Schössow has so much faith in his fellow countryman. And with such high quality productions coming from the Andero studio, it won’t come as a surprise his next release is already scheduled. However, let’s stay focused on the present: “Sunrise” will be out March 21 and once again proves Andero’s huge talent!

One of Brazil its most talented DJ/producers is JAKKO. Over the past two years Lucas Bojakowski developed himself as one of the leading South-American DJ’s. We were quite pleased when he sent over “Unido”. Chief Marcus Schössow didn’t need to think twice about signing this track or not. Since then JAKKO his anthem “Unido” has been a secret ID in all of mister Code Red his sets.

“Unido” already got described as an old school Axwell track. We consider that as a big compliment. JAKKO created a euphoric and powerful piano melody for his anthem. The subtle percussion, perfectly balanced bassline and kick are keeping “Unido” groovy. With such a big tune it is easy to fall back on the standard progressive house format, but JAKKO didn’t want that. Therefore “Unido” sounds crisp, fresh, euphoric and groovy. 

JAKKO made a name for himself the past two years with releases on Protocol Recordings, Staar Traxx, Revealed and Armada Trice. Code Red fits perfectly in that list, especially because the Brazilian talent loves groovy progressive house. And then again, we all know Brazilians have a great sense for rhythm. That is no different with JAKKO.

We are going back to September 2015 when Kevin and Jonathan from Sweden were introduced to us. The two wanted to show us a record. Well, “Lose It” made us lose it! Who were these guys? SONDRUM is the name! But how did they put together such an amazing tune and why didn’t we hear from them before? Relevant questions after hearing “Lose It”, but what mattered most was that we could sign the tune. We lost it again, from pure excitement!

“Lose It” has been in the making for a while. Though we received it before the Amsterdam Dance Event where we tested it, until the very last moment SONDRUM has been tweaking it to perfection. The twentieth Code Red release breaths disco and has that groovy bassline that makes you dance. The vocal is uplifting, powerful and makes it a sing-a-long too. All the ingredients for a massive club and festival tune are present in “Lose It”.

The Swedish duo SONDRUM has only been together since 2014, but the tunes they produce; bloody hell! There is so much disco, soul and groove in them! Kevin and Jonathan are inspired by the Swedish and British DJ’s that represent groovy progressive house. But instead of copying them, they created their own strong and funky identity.

With the early support from our chief Marcus Schössow we have already teased “Lose It” to the world for months. The response was great, and it is even greater to finally share this hot tune from SONDRUM with everyone. Trust us, “Lose It” will be one of the grooviest tunes for the summer season and we are really proud these very talented Swedish guys wanted to release it on Code Red.

Highly Sedated return to Steve Angello’s respected Size Records with their latest single, ‘Got Some Water’.

Titled ‘Got Some Water’, the track intros with dark synths, a strong bassline underpinning spoken lyrics. A dramatic breakdown leads into echoing sung sections, before the track’s climactic chorus. The expert production compliments the memorable lyrics.

Consisting of two vocalists, a photographer, art director and a producer, Highly Sedated aim to push the boundaries of electronic music by fusing elements of a traditional band in their approach to performance and production. An ode to the five-member band’s realization of their ‘existence’ to follow their passion of music, Highly Sedated is a result of a group of brother-like friends with a wide difference of musical backgrounds coming together. “We didn’t want to join the circus, so we created our own,” says the group.

Regarding the project, Steve Angello says, "I'm lucky to be involved and I'm excited to be the chosen one, it's very hard to find a group of friends that's been through everything together to get here and their only purpose is to bring incredible music and art to the world. This is Highly Sedated.”
