If I Had Superpowers

Lighting in a bottle is an instantaneous gratification, this particular beat was made and arranged and completed in exactly 10 minutes. The only thing missing was the right vocalist to carry it through. 
By this point in time there were quite a few vocalists that we had worked with before. Joseph Kiwango being one of them and the top contender for this particular song but, Hiribae felt that it needed a female vocal a really delicate one to match the melody and so he suggested Wams, who at the time I didn't know was a vocalist, even more so, a formally trained one under Sauti Academy. She was really shy as we set up the studio in our friend's living room, she did not feel her voice was good enough. 
That all changed once she opened her mouth and delivered this heart tugging song while Kiwango provided a counterpoint to fully balance the story.

Titled 'Earned It' , the first track off our collaborative E.P, titled "SERVE CHILLED", speaks about overcoming one's own fears and the hurdles of life and acknowledging the polishing qualities of hardship. While tying this to the cumulative nature of cause and effect that we are either victims or effectors of, the song speaks about being aware of our actions and intentions because life is a spiral and bad days will come, but eventually we will rise above it all and will have grown and earned the peace, joy and love in our lives.
