Sitting on the porch in the rain
You, reading a book
There’s no better way to spend the day

I’m watching the storm
Looking for the right words to say
How to put into a verse
Feelings without the cliche

How can I express the love I have for you?
How can I explain I see the beauty in everything you do?

I see the beauty in everything you say?
Even when we’re sitting on the porch in the rain
I see the beauty in everything you are?
You write the music playing in my heart

Sit with you all day
I'd do it for a lifetime if I could
You tell me that story
That makes me laugh a little more than it should

Still watching the storm
Your song playing in my head
I’ve got some kind of verse
Some kind of structure, I guess

But how can I express the love I have for you
How can I explain I see the beauty in everything you do?
