As a token of appreciation to those who have supported the label over the last decade, we have decided to offer up a special double LP.  This LP features 19 exclusive dubs, remixes, and V.I.P's that have been at the top of our sets over the past year.  When compiling this LP we wanted to make sure we covered as many styles of the Jungle sound as possible, and we’ve been fortunate to have contributions from the Jungle scenes top producer's alongside our faithful label residents.  Arriving just in time for Carnival season, we are extremely proud of this release and we hope you enjoy it as well.  Once again, thank you for supporting Liondub International. Many artists recognise just how imperative the full package which is provided with their music is to an EP’s release. This is why Ironlung, alongside hard lined imprint Cre8 Dnb, is held so highly within his sphere. It’s because he knows what it means to be an artist and this filters through each of his records, although this time he’s gone above and beyond, drawing the release’s inspiration from a recent event which saw him take in a Sparrow after finding it injured in the woods. After nursing it back to health over months, and even naming it aptly, the idea of a ‘Jack Sparrow’ themed project came into play. And following his creative imaginings, and creating four brand new tracks to feature on the release, the title ‘Black Pearl’ and the output’s artwork came together, drawn from the movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. The bird is now part of his family and as a result, there’s even a track dedicated to the animal, with ‘Jack Sparrow’ sitting as a focus for the EP and giving a snapshot into Ironlung’s musical skillset as well as his strident imagination. 

‘Lifes a break’ also marks the track listing, punching forward on a quick fire bassline and strident pads which switch effortlessly beneath its gradual breakdown. And then comes ‘Mutton Dressed as Lamb’, unforgiving and tightly-knit, as well-honed as its predecessor but also administrating its own spark from start to finish. ‘Supper Time’ creates just as much audible manipulation, bringing forward an engineering which oozes the same slick style whilst packing a kick with every drum pattern sitting beneath the track’s mix. ‘Jack Sparrow’ brings the EP to an end, leaving you with the idea which helped to bring the release to life whilst adding a depth to the full parcel. 

It’s an exciting time for both Ironlung and Cre8 Dnb. This EP signifies a shift in a different direction, with a full encapsulation of what art is about, proving that each release isn’t just about the music. It shows a varying outlook on drum & bass and their vision behind it, proving Cre8 Dnb are just as exciting as its more longstanding competitors.

This is something that most of you will never have heard. We had already worked with Toddla on his 'Streets So Warm' single, then last year he had his national tour with Major Lazer and hit us up to help out with some of the music for his stage show. The result was this fantastic track that featured the gorgeous Ms. Dynamite on vocals.
We are pretty sure that this will never get a release as it was exclusively made for that tour and at this time there are no plans to release it. But never say never...!
