An interstellar compound which took form and appears to our senses.
As if born from light, a celestial body emerges from within.

The painting artwork is a physical manifestation of the frequencies.

These selected songs were finished with a recording session in the Dots Gallery Teufelsberg, sending the music into the dome installation for added natural reverb textures. More information on the installation check our project 'Teufelsberg Domecast'.

For its final release of the season, Bella Ursa is proud to unveil a new series dedicated to the unearthing of undisclosed material: The Memories Series. For this first opus, Ostalgie delved into his almost-forgotten hard-drive content to create a delicate litany stemming from ethereal jam sessions, circa 2015 to 2020.

‘Discordant Memories’ is an ode to all the neglected, barely loved, or lost music. All tracks have been collected to offer a new perspective and rekindle distant memories. Whether birthed in his parent’s basement or at some friend’s place, it recalls moments of pure bliss, turbulent chaos, or meditative solitude that inspired this romantic soul to infuse his own blend of electronic melancholia.

It will be released on all digital platforms, along with a custom CD designed by Raphael Ott (AKA Itako).

Few words from the artist :

Cet album retrace un sillon de vie, compile des émotions et rythme des souvenirs. La musique m'a suivie partout où j'ai été et ne m'a jamais quittée. Les morceaux que vous allez entendre sont bruts, ils n'ont jamais eu vocation à être finis. Ils sont nés de pulsions créatrices et de jams intempestives, faites dans la sobriété ou non.

Enregistrés dans la cave de mes parents, dans des appartements puis d'autres, pendant un confinement, lors de dépressions ou d'euphories. Ce sont les oubliés, les mal-aimés, les moches, les brouillons, les déformés, les imparfaits. Je souhaitais leur donner une existence et un but, afin qu'ils puissent trouver une oreille qui les apprécie.

Certains ont été faits avec plus ou moins de matériel ; l'analogique a toujours été mon truc et je n'arrive pas à faire de musique artificielle. Je tiens à remercier Denis pour l'idée de ce projet, Raphaël pour la direction artistique, ma mère Joëlle pour la photo de couverture, ainsi que tous ceux qui me suivent ou me soutiennent au quotidien.

The new Samurai Music series of 12"s - Samurai Hannya - are based on the mythical masks of a Noh drama (a form of traditional Japanese theatre). Hannya masks capture the stages of transformation of a female character as she undergoes a metamorphosis into a demon / ogre.

TM404 - SYRA

The evolution of Andreas Tilliander’s moniker TM404 has reached its third stage. The first TM404 album was a heavily self-restricted concept album, live recorded with classic Roland machines. The subsequent album had a more playful vibe, shaped by Tilliander’s extensive live touring. This third TM404 album on Kontra-Musik simply tells the story of what he’s been up to since. The third part of a musical diary, initiated in 2013. 

The TM404 venture might have started out as a dreamy acid dub project, more suited for the chill-out than the main floor. But by popular demand Tillander found himself touring big clubs around the globe and the TM404 sound adapted organically. As a result, the album features tracks like Vactro and Rymdeko: fast paced acidic techno tracks in the same vein as classic Plus 8 releases, but with more space echo. Much more.

But never fear, fans of the classic warm and bubbling TM404 sound. You’ll certainly get yours as well. A substantial portion of this album was recorded in a studio flat in Berlin as part of an artist residency. For obvious reasons, Tilliander could only bring a small portion of his studio gear to this German sanctuary. As a consequence, this album has a more stripped down vibe than its predecessors, which creates more space for Tilliander’s glowing melodies. The last track on the album, a loving homage to Kontra-Musik’s label boss, is a sublime example.

And for the Instagram generation, here’s the short version: The album is called Syra. That translates to Acid. You’re welcome.
