“Love and pain” is a song with strong rock overtones, driven by a very solid rhythm and with thetypical guitar sound of the band, balanced by piano counterpoints and an instrument such as the harmonica.
The song sums up these years in which people, the protagonists of the songs had to live with new loves, lost friends, changed lives, realized dreams and unexpected nightmares.
“Did we lost our faith or have we lost ourselves?” wonders the protagonist of the song, often shocked by the radical and rapid changes in society, which often leave one bewildered and astonished, but “sometimes the things we need are right where you are,” and music and rock and roll specifically, remain one of the few certainties to cling to in times of difficulty.
